Came on a Monday evening in August. The place was fairly empty so we got seats outside for maximum people watching. Now the food? Absolutely delicious. I got the Pub Fries. The best brisket ever. The meat was tender and full of flavor! The steak fries added a perfect match. Never got soggy and it was perfect for scraping up the sauce on the plate. 10/10 would highly recommend. 2-3 people can share it as an appetizer or make it main for 1 with leftovers. The staff was very nice too.

The chicken tastes like fish. They fry it in the same oil as the fish.

We were there right before closing but everyone was so welcoming and accomadating. We both ordered the fish and chips with malt vinegar in true British style and they were absolutely perfect the batter on the fish was light and crispy and the hand cut fries were amazing. The cod filets were cooked to perfection, so many places cook them too long and the can be tough and greasy but these were the best I have had in the US. TJ who I believe was the manager ( if he wasn't he should be) did an excellent job in every aspect making this the very best meal we had in St Augustine. If you haven't met him or had those amazing fish and chips you must stop by and say hi and try those fish and chips also put malt vinegar on everything like the Brits do they know how it's done .:)

We were disappointed by the food at this restaurant. It was just lacking in flavor. The burgers were dry and the shepherd's pie had more of a tomato base to it and was more like spaghetti meat sauce. Our waitress was very accommodating and very helpful.

The pub fries are a must, they were so delicious. My fish and chips was great, the 2 fish pieces were huge. My husband had the shepherds pie (actually made with lamb!!) And it was good, but we both thought it needed cheese on top or something like that just to add some saltiness, but it was one of the best REAL shepherds pies we've seen. We sat at the bar and it was a little warm, I think there was an issue with the AC, but the bartender was so nice and she took such great care of everyone. The drink options are excellent and the prices are super affordable. I would definitely recommend the bull even if you just want a drink and those pub fries.

This was kind of a letdown after looking at reviews online. The online pictures showed bartenders and servers in colonial era attire, but they had on shorts and tshirts (it was hot out though). The menu was very limited and the food was decent, but nothing great. It was very hot inside the building (we were hoping for a reprieve from the heat) and there was a steady annoyance of flies that bothered us throughout the meal. Compared to the other pub experience we had at Meehan's the night before, we'd pick Meehan's every time.
