This little gem is now our favorite restaurant in all of St. Augustine!! Simply the best food, service, and atmosphere! My mom and I went here several times during our 10 day stay because we just could not get enough. The owner, Mr. G, treated us like VIP and there is this beautiful sense of mutual respect and camaraderie between him and his staff. They all treated us like family. We even met the chef! The Chilean Sea Bass was our favorite dish, it is a must try!! The bartenders are absolute pros and made top notch drinks. We highly recommend this place and cannot wait to come back. We miss it already. Thank you, Mr. G, for your wonderful hospitality and great company!! You made our stay at St. Augustine so much more memorable ❤️

The service and atmosphere receive high marks; sadly thought the food was mediocre at best. I had the lamb ossobucco and thought there was a weird taste, almost like not fresh. Also my wife had a Salmon dish and she said it was the worst salmon she's had -- very fishy! The best I can say is the atmosphere was nice and the service was very good.

The place is beautiful, cozy atmosphere, very helpful staff...the food is also excellent...just VERY EXPENSIVE AND SCARCE...the dishes are super small portions,...they do not satisfy a regular appetite,...and super expensive each dish...but with excellent taste on the palate. "Limonchelo" both in liquor and dessert...SUPER

The pesto gnocchi with chicken was the best food I've ever had. The vibes are very nice outside with the garden or you can sit inside with a live musician playing the piano and singing after like 8pm. The plates are a little small so you may want an appetizer, but with chicken added to my pasta it was very filling. It is perfect for a date night and to have a small venue to interact with the musician. We got to have song requests and it was wonderful. It is my new favorite restaurant

They took 5 minutes to setup my table. Then I was abandoned for 15 minutes with no server and people passing by without offering help. Not going again there. The food was good but not enough for re-consideration.I hope they solve their management issue and employees can be less robotic with “this is not my table and hence, not my problem” and are able to spot a table that has not been served. It really takes basic common sense and observation.

We went to Cortesse's Bistro last night with a 8 person group. It was our first time eating here - but one of our friend's comes on a regular basis. They had a piano player that was playing & it was pretty loud, even though we were way in the back of the room. We enjoyed it, but this wouldn't be a spot for great conversation or a romantic evening. The waiter/bartender was great - very helpful and accommodating. My wife & I split a salad and enjoyed the Chicken Marsala and I had Chicken Parm. It was good... but not amazing. There are two other Italian restaurants that we go to in the area that are much better and more reasonable. We were all surprised at the prices - $6 dollars for bread, appetizers at @ $22, old fashioned drinks at $18 am I in NYC? Glad we checked it out, but I don't see us going back, unless we go back to the bar to listen to the piano man.

As we are frequent clients we went today to celebrate our anniversary and the utensils were dirty, the lettuce in the Caesar's salad wasn't fresh and it seemed they increased the prices (they charged us $16 for a very small piece of cheesecake!). We used to like this place but now we are very disappointed.

Had many a wonderful evenings dining at Cotez's, including on their opening. Have supported the establishment as a Vilano local on and off season.Had a wonderful experience with our server Alejandra, food was excellent. We had friends in from town, anticipating the piano bar after our meal.Unfortunately as the owner left for a brief moment, the bar service turned to a complete disappointment. Sat on patio table for 10 minutes, stood at bar for a few more. Bartender must have had some friends in as he was more engaged sitting at a table then caring to offer service to our drink order.I engaged the remaining server working the piano/patio area as he was clearing the food from another table, I inquired if their was table service for the piano bar area where the 5 of us were sitting (in the past this was always the case). I was told best to go to bar and order your own, I thought..no problem ( even though I started there), I Went back to the bar, bartender was still sitting with guests...not how this owner runs his restaurant! I have never experienced such 180 degree turn when the owner stepped away.I informed "Dallas: the Manger who did offer an apology. We had made a reservation having left our phone number, unfortunately we never heard back from anyone.Friends left disappointed which is why I decided to share, the point is if you have a special night planned including dinner and entertainment afterwards you may want to look elsewhere for a more reliable place. We will give Cortezs another shot as I know the owner to be reputable and while onsite he orchestrates a wonderful experience consistently, however if the owner steps out for a moment the service should remain consistent, in this case it was not.

After sitting at the bar to eat, I tried to order a drink, but the woman I was ordering from was confused so we went through that a few times finally got that right. Let’s keep in mind here. This is the first time I’m leaving a review and I’m really a laid-back type of person so this is not normal for me.One of the people working in the restaurant, proceeded to take a blower leaf blower and blow off the patio, less than 20 feet away from me where I was sittingEvery time I needed something for my meal like another drink or cheese for my food or almost anything I had to start waving my arms around in order to get somebody’s attention, and let’s keep in mind that we’re less than three people in the restaurant at this time. Definitely a hard pass on ever eating there again good luck guys
