Came for their AUCE Fish and chips, and I'm here to verify that it's really good. Fry is seasoned and fried right. The red onions might need to be diced up more, or pureed in the batter. Chips were always wonderfully done and perfect size for real chips. The tartar sauce I believe was very creamy with consistency a little thicker than mayo. Great with the fish and even to cool off the fresh hot fries. Always served warm, which is what I love. Big shout out to the staff and also to the trainee. I had a rough year already and this was the break in needed. 🙏.

Donovan’s Irish Pub in Saint Augustine is an absolute gem and a must-visit. From the moment you walk in, you’re hit with that warm, authentic Irish pub atmosphere — cozy, lively, and welcoming without feeling touristy.
The fish and chips were AMAZING — perfectly crispy on the outside, flaky and fresh on the inside, and clearly made with care. The batter was light, not greasy, and the fries were hot, seasoned just right, and plentiful. Easily some of the best fish and chips I’ve had, not just in Florida, but anywhere.
The service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely upbeat, which really adds to the experience. Pair that with a great drink selection and a relaxed, old-world pub vibe, and you’ve got the perfect spot to unwind after exploring Saint Augustine. Great food and service! My husband had onion rings and the fried fish platter. I went with the corned beef with cabbage. All dishes were exceptional and we will definitely be back! Thank you!
Great spot to stop on our trip! Husband had the best Reuben, not greasy, and perfectly crispy bread, and actual corned beef! Mom had the corned beef and cabbage, I had the Rachel's Reuben (Cole slaw was spot on, slight vinegar with a light cream). Beer selection was great and love the blends with Guinness! Highly recommend!
