Worst restaurant ever, I am use to eat at Mexican restaurants and this is nothing like it. Their Jamaica taste awful, the service was very poor specially that is so close to Saint Augustin down town, and the food was not that great either. I will not recommend this place.

The food tasted good and had good portions. I got steak fajita and niece got chicken fajita. The service was so/so and it wasn't due to the fact we had a bad server. There just wasn't enough people working and our server was so busy bussing tables, seating people, taking their order, delivering food.. it was like he was the only server they had. Also the prices were OK but seemed a bit high when we asked for some cheese to go. Wasn't told there was an extra charge for what I consider a condiment to the meal which made it surprising. So would I go again, yes the food was good but be sure to ask if there is a charge for anything extra like cheese to go so you don't get surprised.

"I'm seeing mi abuela in Baja California, Mexico!' I blurted out when I tasted the supremely authentic, melt-in-your-mouth cuisine here at El Potro. WOW!! The service staff is cordial, knowledgeable, fun-spirited, and exceptionally hospitable. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. Whenever I frequent St. Augustine, Florida, a trip to El Potro is surely included. Reasonably priced, authentic Mexican is hard to find. This established it does it beautifully!Vegetarian options: Almost any dish may be converted to Vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, Vegan, and other options available.Kid-friendliness: I always see lots of kids whenever I frequent this restaurant. On my last visit, My back was to the dining room, so I did not even notice the young children 2 tables away from me. In other words, don't allow the fact that children are allowed to prevent you from trying El Potro.

After seeing a few roaches crawl around on the floor, we were pretty skittish. The food was okay, not as good as many authentic Mexican places we have eaten. The refried beans were not great. But, the Waitress was great and super friendly!

I ordered an appetizer and the Waiter forgot....I ordered the fajitas El Potro...the worst fajitas plate I've ever eaten It had hardly any carnitas, every bite of the fajita's head nerves and the chicken and shrimp Taste Rubbery....

It was superbowl Sunday and alot of places were closed. They were open and the wonderful server did an awesome job considering she was by herself. The food was great. The fajitas came our sizzling and smelled so good. It was just great! Thank you!
