The elk tenderloins were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented with a flavorful mushroom demi-glace. Mashed were fab. The caesar may have been the best I've had in 5 yrs; cold bite size romaine with a dressing hinting of just enough anchovies. Great wine and beer selection BUT no hard liquor. Branzino was a dish to remember with perfectly cooked asparagus on the side. NO bread. Place was packed and tables are tight but no more than most restaurants in NYC. Noise level is midrange. Tony, our Portugese waitperson , was delightful/knowledgeable.
Don't be in a rush; it doesn't work here. NO reservations

Just left this restaurant, absolutely incredible. One of the best meals I’ve had in the US of A. Service was fantastic and the elk and steak fillets were to die for.

I have been coming here since they opened, and it is one of the most consistent, friendly places I have ever been to in this great country of ours.

Was looking forward to dining here based on reviews. Unfortunately my mussels lacked any flavor. I ordered the coconut Thai mussels and they were not great. I told the server twice and he didn’t seem to care. The porch is by a busy road so I wouldn’t recommend sitting out there. My husband got the fish special and he said it was ok. The Caesar was drenched in dressing. The wine and beer were served in chilled glasses which was a positive. Server put the bill down and never asked if we wanted dessert.

Our family experience at Elkhouse Eatery was phenomenal! Tony is one of the most helpful restaurant staff we have ever encountered, and his knowledge of the menu and recommendations were incredible. Across our party, we had the elk filets, branzino, short ribs, pasta, tuna appetizer, mashed potatoes, grits, rice, broccolini, and so much more - every bite was incredibly delicious! The desserts - we had creme brulee, apple pie, and salted caramel cheesecake - were just as good as the rest! I cannot recommend Elkhouse Eatery enough, and I know where we will be eating the next time we are in town.

We came in close to closing time and were greeted so cheerfully. We were able to get a table and knew it would be a quick meal. Our incredible server Kelly was the best part of our experience with the atmosphere being the second best. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and specials for the day. She was very attentive, excellent personality and made our experience extraordinary. We chose the restaurant based on having a different menu. We ordered the fried gator tail which was a delicious combo of flavors and perfectly cooked. We also ordered the tuna tarare tower. We enjoyed the flavors though I prefer the tuna a little more chunky. I love onions, but the guac did have too much taking away from the tuna flavor. Just a small suggestion. For our main entrees we tried the special duck which was the most perfect duck I’ve ever tasted. It was cooked medium rare but had this nice Smokey and sweet flavor with a perfect little crisp to the outside. Whoever the cook was, knew exactly what he was doing. Hats off to the chef! The second main was Seafood Cioppino. It came with muscles, clams, shrimp, scallops and shrimp. The seafood was cooked perfectly with a nice flavor and not dried out like most places. The linguine was also cooked perfect. My favorite part was the red sauce and I don’t even like red sauce most times. It had a perfect balance of flavor, nothing too overpowering and a great balance with the seafood. To top it off it came with fresh ciabatta bread which was a great touch. We really enjoyed our meal and would return here to try other menu options. We each got draft beef and admired their wine menu though we weren’t feeling wine. Overall this was a great experience especially since we were a last minute customer. Thank you for a special meal and Kelly if there were more servers like you, we’d eat out a lot more!

We absolutely had the best hands down experience with the appetizer, dinner and dessert with drinks. Our waiter Trevor was phenomenal and took care of us was at the table when we needed and so polite! My husband and myself can’t wait to come back. We highly recommend this restaurant. This is one that can range with prices but to have the food basically melt in your mouth and leave your bellies full. This is the place to go! Please check it out. It’s only opened from 5-8:30 pm on certain days which was efficient for us and worth visiting. Our first time and certainly not our last!

My wife and I have been eating at Elkhouse Eatery for a couple years now and it never disappoints. The salmon is hands down the best you’ll find anywhere, and the crab dip is always a winner. Always a great meal and a place we look forward to coming back to!

The Elkhouse Eatery in Crescent Beach is hands-down our favorite restaurant to visit when we’re in town! It’s first come, first serve which says a lot because people are always willing to wait, and for good reason.
We especially love our go-to waiter, Mark! He consistently gives us the best service, remembers us every time, and truly makes each visit special. That said, every server we’ve encountered has been warm, professional, and attentive.
The food is out of this world better than any restaurant we’ve been to. The nightly specials are always creative and delicious, and they never disappoint. From appetizers to dessert, every dish is flavorful, fresh, and made with care.
We make it a point to eat here at least twice during every visit its just that good. If you’re in the Crescent Beach area, do yourself a favor and make The Elkhouse a top priority
