Went up to St. from down south looking for a place to go since I was hungry from the long drive. I stumbled upon this small taco place which looked promising- it was not. It was one of the worst taco places I’ve been to. The staff was decent, atmosphere okay. The food was terrible especially for the price. The chips were cold and the chicken tacos were bland and greasy. The rice was like a paste- absolutely flavorless and terrible. I would avoid this place, I should have listened to the other reviews. If you want at least average tacos go elsewhere, I could have made better at home and cheaper too.

Pass by this place on my way to work everyday and wanted to give it a shot.
Everything was just… underwhelming. Especially for the price.

The quesadilla was thin and had this sauce that over powered the whole thing. Came with a handful of chips but no salsa or sour cream. Like, for 17$ you can’t add a 2oz thing of sour cream or salsa? So I ate it “dry” but that’s kind of a bad description because the sauce they put in it (which did have a good flavor) made up like half the contents of the quesadilla (1/4 chicken, 1/4 cheese, 1/2 sauce).

Also had the salad and added mahi. Thought that 15$ was a bit much for a salad but it was only 3$ to add mahi so I gave it a try. Probably took 5 bites and trashed it. It’s advertised as mixed greens with all these other toppings that make it sound wonderful… it’s iceberg lettuce with shredded cheese on top. The mahi added was some type of fish shredded into little tiny pieces and, when I say sprinkled, I mean the most measly portion of fish sprinkled over the top.

The place was just generally kinda dirty too. Mess of some kind on almost every table, and spilled mystery liquids under some tables too. If they were busy I’d totally understand but I was the only person in there.

Ladies at the counter were nice.

We just moved to town and came in to eat around 6pm with our kids. Super friendly gal greeted us and got us seated. We ordered nachos, birria quesadilla, birria tacos, and something else. Everything was really good! I thought my dish (birria quesadilla) was the best. Portion sizes were BIG so I'm excited for leftovers.
The chips weren't anything special (cold) and the salsa was spicy, but it was towards the end of their hours. Their kids meals were reasonably priced ($6 including a drink!) and they had a soda fountain, not just cooler drinks, so we could get refills if we were super thirsty.

I was hesitant to try it because of the negative reviews, but we all really liked it. Service was fast and very friendly. The only TV was showing a channel that played only funny videos of animals, which was a great change from news or sports and a big hit with all my kids. Music was nice, not too loud. Bathrooms were clean. Honestly I'm thrilled my husband made us go, because I love a local taco joint! We'll be back!

Got take out. Nachos were sitting in a puddle of what seems to be tomato juice? Not even soggy from steam just straight up wet.

Birria? Tortilla was burnt and tasted like it too. The consume was extremely spicy and disappointing. No flavor just overwhelming spice.

Extremely dissatisfied but what do you expect when you get a classic Mexican dish from a place called “gringos” tacos.

visiting from out of town and decided to try this spot as we drove past. my family and i had high expectations but unfortunately they were not met. first, we were a little thrown off by the price for tacos… $6 per taco. the birria tacos came with no cilantro or onions, they weren’t stuffed with toppings or big protein portions (for $6!). the tortillas were ice cold, the onions and cabbage weren’t chopped uniformly (lots of big chunks) and the pico de gallo was mushy and ice cold… i’m going to assume it was frozen previously. the birria tasted off, very mushy in the mouth. the protein was warm but the tortilla and toppings were all cold. they brought out one of our orders with the wrong tortillas and they remade them with the correct tortillas but whoever brought them out with the correct tortillas had attitude and wasn’t very friendly, gave my dad a dirty look when placing it down in front of him. the younger hispanic waitress who helped us was very nice so no complaints about her but we were disappointed with the food quality. i’m not trying to leave a complete negative review but for the price of the food, the quality did not match. at all.

I ordered chicken tacos that came with onions and cilantro. There was way too many onions in large pieces. I suppose it was to add flavor bc the chicken had none. The chicken was such a small portion, it only filled the taco maybe a quarter. Definitely not worth the $6 price.

Me and my co workers sat down after ordering food, and read bad reviews. We experienced every bit of the cold food and room temperature tortillas along as half decent service. The only thing that was above 80° was the 9 shrimp I paid $20 dollars for on my 3 tacos. When you walk through that door dont say I didnt warn you.

friendly and at tentative service, but the food prep was pretty poor. The protein we had in our tacos were warm, but everything else was cold. Including the tortilla and the cheese. It was like the cheese just came out of a bag and it wasn’t even melted. Definitely not worth 50 bucks.

Service and atmosphere is the best I got out of here. Ordered the briria tacos, absolute worst I've ever had. They were burned and not cooked in the consume and were not and were leoparded like a Napolitano pizza. Asked for cilantro & onions to be included which is standard fair, nope...didn't have that. Consume tasted horrible, no onions, cilantro etc in it either. Took one bite and was overwhelmed by 'burnt' taste had to frequent flyer the plate in to a local dumpster.

Cute atmosphere and very nice service staff, but overall it was just $$$ wasted down the drain.
