We visited Grouper Shack a couple of weeks ago. It was our first visit and we definitely have added it to our restaurants to have dinner.
Know that you order first then find a seat. Food was served on paper baskets, but it did take away from the delicious food!

Casual waterside restaurant that has great seafood and an informal vibe. You order at the counter as you enter and then find a table (inside or outside on the covered deck). They also have some bar seating. Handhelds and baskets (great waffle fries!) are the staples. You get your beverages and your order is brought to your table. Peaceful and beautiful setting on the marsh.

We had Grouper BLT, Grouper Bites, and Shrimp Basket. Super super super good! Well seasoned. Good portions. Not greasy. Nice atmosphere, clean, kid friendly, open air concept with nice views of the river. Great place for lunch, dinner, or snack fresh off the water. Boat parking and pet friendly outside. Next to Cat Paw Marina. We are full.

I was visiting from Texas with family. The Grouper Shack turned out to be a great place for Sunday lunch. Two if us ordered combo baskets while the other two had hamburgers. The food was delicious, the water view, a welcome change, and the wait staff was attentive and personable.
YOU HAVE TO COME HERE!!!! No ifs, ands, or buts, it’s a must! I didn’t take photos cause I was hangry and forgot, but the food was amazing. We had the Bang Bang Shrimp for a starter and each had the blackened grouper(recommended by some locals we met at the beach - that were also fishing, I might add. So if they were telling us to go there we already knew it was going to be good!). The shrimp and grouper were cooked perfectly and the ambiance of the seating next to the water just sealed the deal! The staff was also incredibly friendly as well!

We drove the watercraft and parked right at the dock. Then we ordered at the counter and they delivered the food to your table. We chose an outside table, but inside tables are available too. Our party ordered lobster bisque (which was perhaps the best I have ever had), clam chowder, crab and avocado salad, fish tacos prepared with two different fresh fish. Prices were reasonable and the view on the water was amazing. I think they had a full bar which we did not partake in. The manager checked in on us twice. We will definitely go back!
