I'm disappointed that I didn't leave a review sooner. I've been going to this place now for a few years. I originally heard about it in a Facebook group and decided to give it a try. Omg! Top 3 favorite places to go in the area! The duck dumplings are amazing! Chicken puffs were super good as well. The miso soup isn't "traditional" it has mushrooms and the broth is more clear soup than miso. Make sure to call in advance to place a to-go order or to make reservations to dine-in. Make sure you bring your mask. Try a little bit of everything. I'm sure you'll find one or a few things you'd love.

My father-in-law took me there for lunch. He knows his food. Like everyone else, appearances will fool you. Oh my GOODNESS...UNBELIEVABLE... SPECTACULAR....AMAZING We tried several things on the menu and each one was equally amazing. The best Chinese food I've had since being in Florida 2 years ago. The owner was funny, entertaining, and very talented. Seating is very limited but worth the wait. I will be going back SOON.

This is my second time coming here and the food does not disappoint. It is made fresh to order and some items take more time than others. The flavors are amazing and are over the top from most any other food in the area. The guy running the place is very friendly and also has great recommendations for you if you are new. I had the garlic chicken and vegetables. Also a spicy wonton dish. You must make a reservation when coming here as the place is very small but totally worth the wait. Enjoy the flavors of this great food and location in Saint Augustine Florida.

This place is a blast. The food is awesome. Owner is a super nice, but can seem like he's being mean--especially if you don't have a reservation. He likes to know when you're coming!!! Covid has messed everything up, but if you're driving down US1 toward St. Aug, you need to hit this place. It's just south of the airport.

Some of the most authentic and tasty Chinese food I have ever had! From the spicy wontons to the sweet pork buns this place is spot on. The service is amazing and the food comes out quick!! Not your normal Chinese restaurant!!! Highly recommend!!!

My first and only visit so far was a takeout order that I picked up. The food was hot, truly spicy as ordered, and very authentic! COMPLETELY different from the bland food found at the many identical "pictures over the counter" Chinese restaurants tucked into every shopping center.I really enjoyed talking with the owner, very personable.The food was great! I will be back!

Wow! Don’t blink or you might drive past this whole in the wall. We happened to be next door at Ultimate Auto car dealership and came to Hong Kong Cafe for lunch. It was amazing!! We split the chicken spring rolls, coconut shrimp tempura, vegetable fried rice, and bbq pork amongst 3 people and we took home a bag of leftovers. The owners are so sweet and they take so much pride in their food. It shows! The best Authentic Chinese cuisine I have had in Florida!

This authentic Chinese restaurant is amazing! The owner brings the food to your table and sits and chats with you. He was so sweet. And the food is hot and fresh and you could tell what pride they have in their dishes. I felt like they invited us into their personal home and dining room. It didn’t feel like a restaurant, it felt like a home with Mr Lee as the delightful host. It was phenomenal! I will be back!!

We only visit St Augustine once a year, but we may have to increase the frequency of our visits just to eat at the Hong Kong cafe! I recommend making reservations and going with a small group to order several dishes to pass around.The owner has a great sense of humor and his wife’s cooking is authentic and fantastic! Don’t let the outside of the restaurant fool you—this place should be at the top of your list for destinations to visit.

A little hidden gem on the edge of St Augustine. The best Dim Sum I have ever had. Huge selection! Many of the dishes I have never even heard of, much less seen. Everything is incredibly fresh. If you walk around the building you'll even find the source of many of their vegetables, herbs, & teas. Expect to spend $15-$25 per person, but definitely worth it.
