I am a local and have been to Jack’s so many times, but the past couple have been pretty disheartening. The first incident was that being a regular I know how much my same simple drink is and has always been priced there but I came another time and it was double the price and I heard the bartender laughing to the other calling us tourists. So not sure if she thought because we “looked like out of towners” she could charge more? The second time, same woman, we came with a couple of friends, also locals, and my friend had her service dog with her. The woman asked very rudely and loudly if that dog was a service animal despite her having her working vest on, and then my friend said yes and explained the medical services she provides, and the woman laughed and said something like yeah okay because we don’t allow dogs unless they’re service and that dog doesn’t look like one. It was honestly horrific and mind you there was also a non service dog sitting at the end of the bar with another customer… we decided to leave because she seemed like she didn’t even want to serve us. It was so rude we had people leave after us and drive up to us to apologize for her actions. Really just sad that this bartender has been prejudice and rude to us these couple of times now and we can’t enjoy such a good spot by the water anymore.

A year ago I gave this place a 5 star review but it seems they either now have a new employee that hates service dogs or have new management that fails to inform their employees. Same service dog as last year but this employee gave us such a problem that I rather not spend my money at a place that employs such people. Good riddance 👏

Don't waste your time coming here. They have poor customer service. There are also random casino games inside. A woman stopped us outside and said that they didn't open until 4:00 p.m.- they have a patio, but do not allow dogs, although a cat is allowed to live inside the bar area.
There was a guy drinking a beer outside who said he was trying to finish his drink as soon as he could so he can get out of this terrible bar.

RUDE! Immediately left and canceled our drink. My husband and I are both Mexican just fyi. She didn’t seem happy at all about waiting on us. (Outdoor bar)

We were really looking forward to enjoying a drink outside th Jack’s BBQ Bar while exploring St. Augustine, but unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Despite having our well-behaved chihuahua with us—small, quiet, and on a leash—we were told we couldn’t sit at the bar outside because of insurance reasons. The bar is literally in the street.

A cold drink was all we wanted. Instead, we got a cold shoulder.

We love to stop by after dinner there , to have some cocktails and say hi to “ the owner” of this place ☺️. His name is Jack. He is very friendly and sweet 🐈‍⬛!

This place is such a great place to pop in at the end of a work day! Gary the beer server is an absolute gem! What a great man to talk to. And the food was awesome!! Recommend 1000%

nice chill place to have some really good BBQ and Awesome Brews, if you like stouts..try the Courage..it's low key, no cap!

I read reviews and checked out photos in advance, it seemed like a good place. It's possible I went in with expectations set too high, but the food was not good at all. Overpriced and low quality food. The server was nice. I can't complain about the beer. Maybe it was a fluke, but I won't be back to find out, sorry.
