La Cocina Latin Bistro & Catering

La Cocina was one of our first vendors we booked for our wedding! From the tasting, we were SO in love with the food. Norberto was excellent with everything and we even booked them for our Welcome Party. My husband is gluten free and they made gluten free meals and accommodations- we never had to worry if he would have any exposures. We knew we picked a good caterer when all of our other vendors would get so excited that they would be eating their food! Our guests still tell us how amazing our dinner was. We are so grateful for Norberto and his entire team for giving us an incredible meal- not just for the night of the wedding but for days to follow after as well!!!

I would not recommend this place. The service was extremely slow, and it took forever to get our food. On top of that, they didn’t even get the order right, and the staff didn’t seem to care about fixing it. Definitely not worth the time or money.

We cannot say enough good things about our experience with La Cocina and John! From the very beginning, John was incredibly responsive, organized, and attentive to every detail. He made the entire process stress-free and seamless.

From our very first tasting to the wedding day, everything was perfect. The food was absolutely incredible and easily some of the best we’ve ever had. And our guests agreed! We had multiple people tell us it was hands down the best food they’d ever eaten at a wedding. Weeks later, people are still talking about how good it was!

Not only was the food amazing, but it truly added an extra layer of joy and celebration to our day. Thank you to John and the entire La Cocina team for going above and beyond.

From start to finish, they exceeded every expectation we had. The food was beyond delicious—every single dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Our guests are still raving about the appetizers and the entrees.

They managed everything with such grace and efficiency, making sure that we and our guests were taken care of throughout the entire evening. We used La Cocina as our wedding caterer and they were wonderful! Norberto was very easy to work with, replied promptly, easily accommodated for dietary preferences, and the food was delicious! He was able to accommodate a last minute tasting for us while we were in town which was very kind of him to do. Our guests had only positive things to say so I would recommend them!

La Cocina catered my January 2025 wedding -- it was EXCELLENT!

Reaching out to Norberto and John via email was a quick and easy process and we were able to set up a tasting at one of their restaurant locations. The tasting itself was incredible -- from the food to the service -- and we were immediately sold.

Norberto is incredibly professional, and a very talented chef. La Cocina was great also because they are very flexible with their menus -- we were able to specifically request certain dishes that we liked and didn't have to stick with a set/pre-existing menu for our wedding. In addition, it was very easy to accommodate any food sensitivities, allergies, dietary restrictions, etc. for our wedding. Also, they were excited and eager to provide us with some late night snacks, that were incredibly tasty!!

The day of the wedding, people raved about the food. Some said it was the best wedding food they've had -- and I've got some major foodies in my family :) The dinner meals and the cocktail hour appetizers were absolutely delicious!!!!

During the event, John was very attentive to my husband and I's tastes and ensured we had plenty of leftovers boxed up to enjoy later. The leftovers definitely held up, too! We are still eating them 3 days later :)

Throughout this process, I have become a huge fan of Norberto, John, and team and will continue to visit their restaurants in town for as long as they remain in St. Augustine!! Their service, professionalism, and culinary skills are exquisite and I would not hesitate to recommend them for any future event.
