Me and my family just moved from Fort Lauderdale and this was our first restaurants that we tried in our new neighborhood and it’s now a staple for us. We go every Friday from the food the drinks, the service, the kids, friendly atmosphere it’s incredible if we have guest in town, we tell them every Friday we’re coming here. Obsessed must try best food.
The best!! Fast, friendly service, and the food is so, so flavorful! This is one of the best Mexican foods I have eaten in the US. Wish they would tidy up the place a little bit.

Within hours of eating lunch, all 4 members of the party experienced food poisoning. Manager is not making themself available to discuss.
My food was good but the people I was with didn't care for theirs. Chicken fajitas and tacos. We've been there lots of times and this was the first bad experience we have had. Hopefully it was off night for them. We will go back and I will update my review if it is better. I hope it is, we like this place

Best Mexican food in the Jacksonville area. Los Portales is friendly, fast, and always delicious. You're greeted with free chips and salsa, with free refills. And then treated to amazing food that comes out steaming hot surprisingly fast. Prices are extremely reasonable, and the house margaritas are half-off ($3) most of the week! Don't miss this gem.
Amazing food and service is usually to. Friday nights during peak time is sometimes hard to get my takeout. Other than that would recommend to anyone!

Incredible staff! We've been going there for over 4 years, and the same servers are still there, which to me says a lot.
