Mellow Mushroom St. Augustine - Murabella

Very nice experience. Awesome loaded up pizzas, all different types that you usually don't see. The chocolate chip cookies are great. But it ain't cheap.

We like Mellow Mushroom and have been to several different locations. This one was skimpy on the topping for us. So I just took off one star. As for the atmosphere: I’ve always enjoyed each individual restaurant. Our waitress was on top of everything even tho she had to do table while also running the bar.

TBH, this was top five worst experiences.
We (party of two) walked in at 740 and just left nearly TWO HOURS LATER!!!
Alright, brass tacks- we were served the wrong drinks, the wrong appetizer and the wrong size pizza.
The food was standard Mellow Mushroom quality, no complaints.
Service was abysmal. From the moment we walked in it was wild. Party of two, I was told it was a thirty minute wait. There were two other groups waiting when we arrived. both seated before we were, as expected.
A family of four arrived after us, was seated before us, ate and left before we even recieved our pizza. We got seated well before the thirty minute quote as there were many unoccupued tables.
My 13 Y.O.'s only observation about the restaurant was the terrible service. He literally held up a zero and asked if I actually tipped. My man ordered a sweet tea and was brought a coke. I got the wrong beer which took fifteen minutes to get corrected, first world problems, I know.
I have ordered pick up from here a few times and no complaints. Dining in however, was an experience I will not attempt again.
I am certain there were many other experiences that were good tonight, mine wasn't one of them. I don't want you to avoid this place. I just want to enlighten y'all to what I experienced so you can make an informed decision....Maybe it was the kitchen's fault for the two small pizzas (one of which should have been a medium because that's what was ordered) taking an HOUR AND A HALF to come out. Maybe it was the bartender's fault that I got the wrong beer...IDK. I worked for tips in my early years and I know the struggle. I left $15 bucks on a $70 bill because maybe, just maybe, it wasn't the server's fault...

Terrible Service and Zero Accountability

I rarely leave bad reviews, but my experience at Mellow Mushroom deserves one. My daughter and I had dinner here, and the service was painfully slow — our food took forever to arrive. We finally finished and had our server box up half a pizza to take home. Unfortunately, we accidentally left the box on the table when we walked out.

We realized it within five minutes — literally turned around at the light, came straight back — and they had already thrown it away. Our table was right by the front door, and two hosts watched us leave. Neither said a word or made any effort to stop us or save the pizza.

When I spoke with the manager, she shrugged it off, saying “We bus our tables quickly” and offered a maybe coupon that never appeared. She didn’t seem sorry, didn’t offer to make it right, and didn’t even pretend to care.

After waiting that long for food, to have it tossed within minutes — and be met with zero accountability — is beyond frustrating. I expected better from Mellow Mushroom. Terrible customer service, poor communication, and no sense of hospitality. I won’t be back.

Victoria Marie was absolutely amazing! She made me so many unique drinks I’d never even heard of — from pumpkin beer with Fireball to a chocolate Old Fashioned, Godiva Mojito, Pixie Stix, and even a Banana Bread Margarita. Every one was incredible! Hands down the best bartender in town. I had such a great time and will definitely be back!

Horrible service. My online order was over 20 minutes late - when I pointed it out, the employee said ‘I don’t know what to tell you man, busy night’. Maybe I expected better from previous experiences but it was completely discourteous and disrespectful. I usually love mellow mushroom but I recommend not eating in this one just from the service.

The Mellow Mushroom is very good, especially their appetizers such as garlic bread with beer cheese or pretzel bites with beer cheese and I recommend extra beer cheese. My only recommendation is to check your bag because they have been known to forget the extra paid for items. The calzones are ok but do not have much ricotta and you cannot pay for extra. I do not recommend the brownie. It is very expensive for what it is (and I am one that pays for good food). The brownie is so very tiny and wrapped in cellophane like a gas station and does not have chocolate syrup on top as described. The cookie is the same, ok but I erpriced and wrapped in cellophane and reminded me of a gas station when I am paying high prices for such quality. Stop elsewhere on the way home for a better dessert.
