Looking at the menu you may get shell shocked with the prices. But let me tell you, I ordered the Lobster Roll, probably 6-8 oz of lob meat. Lib meat sells for nearly $30 a pound. Wife ordered the fish and chip (fries). $17.95. gimme a break, four haddock fillets 4-6 oz each. Definitely give this place a try. Parking can be a problem. WARNING, has since closed
Tha e facility is closed phone not working.
Lovely place. Open. Nice atmosphere. Great food.
This isn’t locally loved, the menu is fried everything, and the execution of said menu is worse. Terrible tourist trap.
Wouldn’t recommend.Amazing location on the water. Pulled the boat right up to the dock to enjoy a meal after a day on the water. It’s a shame they took a nice restaurant away from our town and replaced it with something as slapstick as this. Overwhelming menu covered in their character mascot.Rude bartender, friendly staff otherwise. Mixed drinks were TERRIBLE. Ordered apps and kids’ meals immediately after waiting for a table. After waiting and waiting we decided to call it quits on what was already not an enjoyable experience.I wish I could say it would be enjoyable under any circumstances but nothing comes to mind. I haven’t heard a single person I know in this town have one positive thing to say about the food. Glad we cut our losses.
My wife and I went for the first time about 2 weeks ago. We had a wonderful experience. Our waiter, Mike was outstanding; his customer service skills were exceptional. We loved the atmosphere, the view and most of all the food. We are planning to have many family gatherings here. A special thanks to the owner, Rob, for making himself available to us. He found us a wonderful table by the window. Can’t wait to go back!
Worst experience ever. Started poorly and got worseTook 15 minutes to get valet parking - general parking not availableThey can take a reservation for 24 but not keep it!Once finally seated took 40 minutes for waitress to show and take drink ordersWaitress was pleasant but obviously stressed - only one waitress for 24 and she was also looking after other tablesFood came piecemeal one or two at a time. First meal arrived and we did not yet have silverware or napkins. No utensils provided for apps! First meal totally cold by the time silverware arrived. 40 minutes time between first meal delivered and last mealFood delivers to table by kitchen with no idea who ordered it! Several orders incorrect including one meal not gluten free to person with celiac. Did not accept my meal as it did not have the ordered preparation and was told when delivered that they ran out of it! Even served with rice versus ordered potato.Tried to talk to owner but too busy plating dishes and was told that it would be at least an hour until he could get to me! Manager on duty was apologetic but explained issues on busy night and large group that they took without reservations. What about those that did have reservations? My wife and I left after 2.5 hours frustrated with no meal. They did comp our drinks as we did not get meals.Never will go back!!!!
We visited on President’s day and the parking area was full, but it was because of boat owners using the marina. Our group of 6 was seated immediately for lunch on the patio with an amazing view of the water along the bot dock. It’s a dog friendly patio with water and food for the pups. The chicken, fish, Cuban sandwich, and salads were all excellent. It’s a big menu priced a dollar or two higher than most local restaurants. Great service and overall experience once you park.

Love this place! I was in town for a wedding and my friend and I came here for dinner. She brought her dog (they have a doggy menu!) and one of the managers was just as kind to Nala as she was to us. All of the staff we met were super sweet. My friend is gluten free so she got the corn fish tacos (really yummy). I got the french onion soup, which was also amazing. Drinks, being on the water, and the laid back atmosphere make Otter's a 5 star spot. Will definitely come back the next time I'm in St. Augustine!!
View is amazing but, DO NOT GO IF YOU HAVE A GLUTEN ALLERGY. They have no idea what is in their foods and no allergen menu. We spoke to the head chef and attempted to speak to a manager but he or she was no where to be found.Edited and amended to add: husband went back tonight with a friend. They really enjoyed the food and spoke to the general manager Lindsey. I received from her a hand written note of apology and a menu that has been marked by hand which items should be safe for a gluten free diet. While this shows a step in the right direction, and I did adjust my star rating because of it, I will hold complete judgment for another day. But for now, we'll wait and see.
Decent place. Cool view and vibe. The bartender outside was kind of all over the place. The food was ok for the price point. I'd go back.
Great staff and food portions are large! Great tasty drinks! The building is just so pleasing in & out!
Our lunch was excellent and I would have to suggest Bernadette for you server. She was very informative, nice an attentive. The guys got burgers and said the meat was the best they have had.The young man of the group ordered the Cape Cod shrimp and lobster platter. The shrimp were large and very tasty and a side of French fries. The fries were the Best we have ever had. The portion are Huge and we took home 3 to go boxes. We will eat there again before we leave for home.
