Purple Olive Restaurant & Catering

Purple Olive was the caterer for our wedding and we could not have been happier. Peter was communicative with us leading up to the wedding day, and was always there to answer our questions. He also gave us honest input on ideas we had and how we could best make our vision work for our big day. The catering staff and bartenders were professional, friendly and helpful all throughout the wedding. We had multiple guests come up to us throughout the night and afterward to tell us how friendly they all were. Not to mention, both the food and drinks were absolutely amazing. We 10/10 recommend Purple Olive!

We typically visit this restaurant whenever we are in St Augustine to relax and enjoy the quisiene. The menu changed a bit since our last visit, however we enjoyed our meal despite numerous errors from the wait staff.

Food was great, they offer small portions which was perfect for us. I had the eggplant parmesan and hubby had lollipop lamb chops. Highly recommend.

No wait and it was pretty quiet on a Thursday night. The food was excellent. My husband and I ordered two small plates each but one would have been sufficient. We wanted to try several things. The baseball cut sirloin and the mojo chicken were both excellent. He ordered the shrimp pasta small plate and the lamb lollipops. Very impressed with both. The service was excellent and the waitress was very attentive. We loved them before the changes and definitely plan to go back. I do miss the small dish of olives though.

We went yesterday for lunch for the first time to try out the $20 per person menu. The menu included great choices to pick from. We were a party of 4 and all ordered different entrees. All the food was really good and the service by our server Caroline, was great. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed the fixed price menu offered for the month in July. I enjoyed the pecan crusted salmon and had the shrimp appetizer. It was ok. The server was better than the food

Parking: Be prepared to wait awhile to find a good parking space.

Absolute best place to eat on St. Augustine Beach! High class and the finest dining! The veggies were cooked perfect and so flavorful! Chicken was delicious with the best chimichurri sauce!

We had a great lunch last week at Purple Olive. The beef tenderloin skewers were magnificent and the mashed potatoes were amazing. The grilled vegetables were so good... Really truly grilled and seasoned perfectly. And the chocolate bombe was something I will dream about. Best meal I've had in a long time. Thank you!

My wife and I had been meaning to try this restaurant for years because we’d heard good things about it, and we finally did tonight. It surpassed all our expectations. We arrived at around 7 pm, and the restaurant wasn’t crowded and was calm and quiet, very good for conversation. The wait staff attended us well and made helpful wine and menu selections. I had a great glass of wine, and my wife had a sangria (they don’t offer mixed drinks). We ordered two appetizers and split a main dish. All were superb! The prices were on the high side, but more than worth it for the taste and the nice atmosphere, and the great wait staff. Nice artwork on the walls , too. We will be back and have already recommended it to friends.
