This used to be our go to place for happy hour and guests. Stopped going last January...it was going downhill and not paying its employees. We are back for the Winter and just decided to drive by. The building looks abandoned and sad....several broken windows....dumpster over flowing and fence in need of repair. And as expected, a "No Trespassing" sign on the front door. So, South Beach Grill is CLOSED. A waitress at a nearby restaurant said that after the new owner didn't pay his employees, he then stopped paying his landlord. It is such a great location and had such a great vibe back in the day. Hope that someone will be able to revive it one day soon!!
Stopped while on a motorcycle ride on A1A. It gives the appearance of a small beachside bar and grill and does not disappoint. Sandwiches were good, service acceptable, price reasonable, atmosphere as expected. There are numerous negative comments in the preceding reviews. If you are expecting to eat at a stainless steel table that is sterilized between customers and you are upset with the wind blowing a bit of sand in your lunch, keep driving. While the mask wearing mandates and recommendations seem to change frequently I do believe that the staff and customers were compliant with the current Florida regulations. If you are focused on the extremes of COVID protection and drove here on I-95, alone in your car, wearing your mask, keep on driving. If you are looking for a good meal, at a reasonable price and a bit of Florida beach atmosphere, stop by.
Cold under cooked fish, shrimp, beans and rice, an hour wait make this a no return spot. Even the salsa was old. They do not sanitize tables between guests nor wear masks.
This was a “go to” place for us. I know there has been upheaval in the food service world with COVID, however, you can clean your place. Wet mop smell greeted us at the door. To be accompanied by sticky table and menus. Restrooms needing attention. Number one turn off. Our lunch selections, tuna nachos and fish sandwich were good. My husband said the grease was on the crest of needing to be replaced. My next beef was with our server. She was friendly and attentive to us. When not waiting tables she was having a very LOUD, open conversation with a couple at the bar about bad customers, the new owner and his flaws. Number one rule of retail anything “don’t talk about customers in front of customers”. Sadly, you’re off our list. Wishing you luck in these trying times.
don't waste your time or money .... only kinda good thing here is the view off a dumpy area ... not clean
Decent food and service, but absolutely none of the employees wear masks. Beware of this, I will not return until covid-19 is eradicated. The masks protect me from your germs and you are walking around speaking to 100s of people with no mask. Clearly, this business does not care about its employees or customers.
I was so excited to see they offered corn tortillas for tacos upon request as I am on a gluten free diet. I ordered the fish tacos, which were Cold and served on a flour tortilla. I called my server over and he took my plate back to the kitchen. Returning he advised they were out of corn tortillas. Since the rest of my party was almost done eating I said I would just eat the fish. The cole slaw was old, not a bit of crunch and flavorless, as was the rice and beans. No offer to take something off the bill. First and last meal at South Beach Grill for me!
Always a good place to come. We sit outside with our 2 dogs and they bring them water, too.Great fries, good burgers
Came here on recommendatiion from B and B we were staying at. We wanted to eat on the oceanside so we gave ot a shot. Typical seaside fare but everything we had was bad. No flavor, served either too hot or tepid, as it had obviously been cooked and then left sitting for awhile. Even their "homemade" sangria was awful. Server was useless, had to chase him down to get the check. Would not recommend unless you really just want to sit outside and can't find anything else open. Even then, think twice.
Only 2 waitstaff for the whole place tonight and one was the bartender. They did their best. Food was ok but a little cool due to the wait. New owners need to step it up if he wants to succeed.

Absolutely horrible. I'd give less than 1 star if possible. There were only a few other guests seated yet it took over an hour to get our food. We were actually walking out when a server said our food was coming out. The fish was not fresh, it had been frozen. The southbeach wrap was less than mediocre. The food was lukewarm. Even a simple salad was awful. Their sad attempt at appeasing us was a measly 10% discount. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT...don't waste your money....hunger is a better option.
Stopped in for dinner at one of our favorites. Not one person was wearing a mask. No servers, not the bartender, or the rude hostess who never made eye contact. Got a bad feeling and walked out.
For the most part the food is mediocre at best but, the fried shrimp and the blackened shrimp Cobb salad were pretty darn good. The hummus appetizer I would certainly pass on as the hummus was not good at all and the pita chips were well, pita bread triangles with seasoning salt. The view is great though!
Did not get to eat here. Not a mask in sight on any of the staff. Dining room was very hot, no AC. Nobody came to our table to serve us for 10 minutes after we were seated. We left. Terrible service and a shocking lack of protocol for COVID protection.
Tried to go in at 3pm. Not lunch or dinner rush time...Opened the door and the hostess was already prepared to shop my away. I said we would need a table for 5 please. Well, we are on a wait.. Me: that's fine... Hostess: well, I'm not sure how long it will be... Me: That's fine. Hostess: Well... Me: Ok, so you don't want our business. Turned around and walked out the door.Ridiculous
