The Commander's Shellfish Camp

Food was pretty good but I was hoping for a little more for the money. Servers were friendly but overall a bit disorganized not realizing that the back dock didn't have any tables available after taking our orders and sending us back there to sit down.

Called in for take out, part of the order was wrong, they graciously replaced. My daughter had ordered a burger, it looked overcooked but when she bit on it, it was red inside. I had to cook it more in the microwave, didn’t trust it so I exchanged my fish for her burger, was worried she’d get sick! When I bit into it, it smelled terrible so it had to go in the garbage can! Very disappointed! I know burgers aren’t their specialty, but they shouldn’t sell out of date products! The fries with the entrees were terrible too! Straight out of frozen section of a grocery store! If you go there stick to shellfish and fish! They can’t go wrong with hopefully fresh fish! Oh, the sign said 3% charge for credit cards, they charged me 3% for debit card! Very disappointed! Not planning to go back but unfortunately there’s not much available in terms of restaurants in a long stretch from junction of 206 all the way to Palm Coast.

Great Food, Best Fried Oysters in St. Augustine !!

Nice atmosphere and staff but the food was basic and overpriced. Was definitely just reheated bagged food.

Their online menu also shows prices for several items which are 36% more expensive on location.

If it weren't for the pricing mix-up 2 stars because reheated food is still reheated food.

I am not one to leave negative reviews but felt this was worth a review.

This is our second time here. The first time was pretty solid. This time the service was incredibly slow for lunch on a Thursday.

It took asking three times for lemon for the tea. Asked for hot sauce for the oysters and we never received it.

The flounder both blackened and fried was cooked to the consistency of chicken. Super dry.

The only upside were the oysters. They are great. Unfortunately we won’t be returning.

Appetizer shrimp and crab cakes were delicious. Fried oysters were delicious. Grilled fish was cold. Boil was mostly sausage, potatoes, and corn with only 4 shrimp and 6 or 7 clams. For being a seafood boil, it didn't have much seafood and the boil broth wasn't very good. Would not order it again. Would stick with the Appetizers.
