The service was okay. The food was too salty for my taste. This is the kind of food that will give you high blood pressure if eaten everyday.

Service average at best. They are already pricey, and are pretty bush league. Was surprised there was no charge for the lemons in our water on the bill. Crab chowder was nothing special. Blackend gator tail pretty good. Admirals boil good, but pricey. Inattentiveness of service made the cost of the meal not worth it.

Food is pricey. Inside is small so we are outside. Staff is friendly and service was good.

We had a wonderful experience dining at Commander’s in St. Augustine. The atmosphere is charming and laid-back, perfect for a coastal meal, and the food especially the hush puppies and shrimp 🍤 is absolutely delicious. The flavors are on point, and it’s clear the kitchen knows what they’re doing. Our server was kind, attentive, and really hustled to make sure we were taken care of.

That said, I do want to share one piece of feedback. The recent change in how sauces are distributed is a bit frustrating. The new small containers don’t allow you to dip shrimp or hush puppies easily, and we found ourselves having to ask for multiple extra sauces just to enjoy our meal the way it’s intended. It’s not only inconvenient for guests but seems to add unnecessary stress and extra trips for the servers. We had 10 shrimp and the amount of sauce given was enough for two shrimp.

We still loved our time there, but I really hope they reconsider this change. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference in the overall experience. Looking forward to coming back but hopefully with better sauce options next time!

I never do this, but I feel like it’s important. People can understand what you get yourself into. When you walk up, we have to order your food outside And the majority of the items on the menu does not have a price. If you order a Coca-Cola, you do not get refills. I got a dozen oysters, and there was a size of my thumbnail, and the crackers was stale. My wife’s Poboy oyster sandwich had four oysters on it, and my family soups was cold. My son got a chicken sandwich. It was so cooked hard that Jesus could not have brought that chicken back to life. My sister‘s grilled sandwich was cooked on a griddle not a grill. Dad said the red snapper was good
