We chose The Floridian for our one meal in St. Augustine (at the end of July) based on the glowing review from a friend. Despite the charming aesthetic and quiet (nearly empty) dining room sadly our experience was disappointing. We ordered the Biscuits & Belly and were served biscuits that were overly dense because they had clearly not risen properly. Our cheeseburger was delicious but arrived missing the cheese. Both issues could be easily overlooked because mistakes happen, but our overall experience was tainted by our server who was clearly annoyed with us from the start and insisted the biscuits were made properly and that our burger did have cheese on it (strange choice). In the end she comped the biscuits and the cheese which was appreciated but future diners beware: check your food to ensure it was prepared properly.

I hope The Floridian comes back. We only discovered it last March 2025 during a visit. I had my 1st and only fried green tomato sandwich and fell in love.

Chilled here for 3 days last year. Casual spot blending Southern and coastal flavors. Shrimp and grits here hit the comfort-food sweet spot.

Love this place… as a local we have been coming here for years…but tonight we are VERY frustrated and disappointed with them! We were out and about for a birthday celebration and I enthusiastically recommended to our group to eat here. We called, put our name in, and rearranged for everyone to meet there for dinner.
NEVER, not at any point did they tell us that their name has changed AND that they have moved to a new location! It’s a recent change and move… ZERO checking to make sure we knew about these changes!!
So, after everyone had paid for parking and walked to the restaurant, then, and only then, did we discover that their old location is gone and that they have moved… and not within walking distance of their old location. Our entire evening plans were almost ruined and we had to suddenly regroup and find another place to eat! VERY disappointed! I was embarrassed because as the local I had so enthusiastically recommended eating here!
I think they have become lazy and highly dependent on the tourists… and have COMPLETELY forgotten the locals. I say this because I noticed that they NEVER respond to reviews… good or bad!! NADA!
Buy the cuban!
Well I just saw they’re opening a new Floridian over the bridge. That’s great news because I love this place. Whenever we pass through from Bradenton to Kentucky, this is a must go-to restaurant for us. Y’all capture “Southern” very well in what you do with food. I can’t wait to check out Bea’s All Day Cafe as well.

Came across this place by accident. There was a giant selection of gluten free food and vegetarian. I was not a fan of the veggie burger but that was a personal preference. The homemade chips were delicious! The staff was super friendly. It was very clean and seating inside.

The food here is extremely amazing plus the service is always on point! I have gone for anniversary dinners and for lunch and both experiences have been great! Fried green tomatoes are a must! Sandwiches, grits, shrimp po boy are other items to consider.

This place was a recommendation from a friend so we had to try it out. We (wife and I) went for lunch. Split the fried pork belly for the app. AMAZING. We then split the meat loaf sandwich. This was also AMAZING. We barely finished the meal. Extremely fair pricing for the food, service, location, atmosphere. Will definitely go back. They are going to be moving locations.

We only came for a drink and small plate but it was delicious. My husband had the blueberry ale and it was very refreshing and good. We had the biscuits and belly small plate and pork belly was so tender and biscuits were dense but in the best way. It paired perfectly together and was delicious!

As a picky eater I didn’t think I would like anything but after we got the food….OMG. For our appatizer we got a “Biscuits and Belly” it was so good. Then I got the shrimp and I never really order shrimp and it was the BEST! Five stars totally recommended😀.
