Nice and Cozy coffee bar that's a.litttle hidden. Lot of big tables and room to spread out if your doing some work or just want to relax. In addition to coffee, they are known for their gourmet popsicles. Staff is very friendly and coffee is good. Good local company and highly recommend supporting.

I had the pleasure of meeting a friend at the Hyppo Coffee Bar today . Our barristers Eric was so polite , he suggested the empanadas they were delicious !The Cafe con letche and Latte were perfect ! We took the huge homemade cookies to go. I'll be back soon!

We’re from out of state and were looking for coffee off the beaten path. The Hyppo was well-rated so we drove out and found a nice space with very few patrons. There were no empanadas or “small plates” as stated in the listing. We were hungry so tried a giant chocolate chip cookie which was completely unremarkable, like the kind sold in the grocery store. But the clincher was the drinks. A mocha with almost no cocoa and two hot chocolates with almost no chocolate. It really tasted like a watery mix. They also don’t have whipped cream or any other add-ons. I mean, if you’re gonna be a cafe you’ve got to make decent drinks and carry a little bit more food. Also, the drinks were served to us in disposable cups even though we sat at a table. A ceramic mug would provide a bit of class. Sorry to say I definitely won’t be back.

The most beautiful coffee shop in St. Augustine! Although the location doesn't inspire much in terms of a corner spot in a strip mall, once you step into Hyppo, it feels quite expansive. The couches are plentiful, and seating is inviting to a coffee break with a friend, a first date or even a study date with yourself or a group. Reasonably priced for a large flavored latte coffee and they have a ridiculous amount of flavors. When I wasn't quite getting the flavor with all the coffee, the lovely barista offered to add more with a smile on her face. Will be back for more coffee and the gorgeous study space. Might even try their Hyppo popsicles and empanadas! Seems like the randomest options of drink and food choices, but let's just say, I don't hate it. Can't wait to try more of their options! We went as a group of 10 on a Friday night. What an excellent choice. There were so many flavors to choose from and we had excellent help at trying a few new flavors. I love the fact that they have a punchcard for return visitors. And that everything is locally sourced. We will return!

Aesthetically, this place is a hit! It has a great vibe, the high back chairs are a huge plus, especially when you're looking to be quite cozy and share a conversation with a friend. Only, the coffee itself is a let down. When I heard the served Bold Bean, our favorite coffee, I was thrilled. Only they couldn't make what we asked for, not once but twice. I asked for a simple iced honey latte. When using honey in an iced latte, you should melt the honey in the hot espresso, before mixing it in the ice and milk. The first drinks she gave me were pure honey at the bottom and the ice was melted. I asked and she said she was unaware that it should be melted. She attempted to make it again but still the same result... see photo (one of the ugliest I've ever taken!!! ) We waited 37 mins for 2 iced lattes. We'd already eaten our pastries and our annoyance lead to our leaving. She didn't offer us another type of drink, only apologized profusely and told us she just didn't know how. That's not exactly what I would call customer service and I'm sure not what the owners/mangers expect of their baristas. I'm hoping my next experience is better.
I had a hibiscus guava popsicle and it's honestly all I've thought about since. The guy there helped me make the choice and he was right it was refreshing and delicious and I definitely want another one. I've had the peach bourbon in the past and that one is also super delicious.

I've been here several times. Cute coffee house. I love how they have so many comfy chairs and great coffee. But today, they were serving vegan empanadas! The flavor by far exceeded my expectations! This was so delicious. The flavors of the sweet potato, spinach, chickpeas and spices came together perfectly in a soft but crispy pastry crust. You need to go try the vegan empanadas immediately! You're missing out!

For several years I've gone to a place in Saint Augustine where they sold Hyppo Popsicles. These are so delicious. I just never could figure out how they could make a living just selling Popsicles. The place is pretty big and as we went back over the years they morphed into a coffee shop as well. They sell pastries and sandwiches etc. This is one of my favorite places in Saint Augustine. It is an extremely comfortable coffee shop. The coffee offerings are delicious and well prepared. The place is quiet comfortable and the Wi-Fi is really strong. Parking is very easy. The price is a low. Very clean and well organized. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean restrooms! Of all the coffee shops around Saint Augustine this is my favorite and I feel the best.
