Been to The Prince of Wales several times over the years. Always good service, good food, and an enjoyable atmosphere. It's a cozy environment with a mix of locals and visitors all enjoying themselves. A popular late evening option when a lot of other restaurants in the area have already closed.

My husband and I traveled for 5 hours on our 48th wedding anniversary to eat fish and chips at this place because we heard how great it was. IT WAS CLOSED! There was no information on their website about being closed....so disappointed.

Although Tripadvisor says the restaurant is open, it clearly has been closed for some time. It would be nice for the owners to let potential customers know so that they do not make a needless trip.

We were looking forward to coming here for dinner. One of my husband's favorite dishes is Bangers and Mash. However, they had signs up that they were temporarily closed until further notice. All outside menus had been removed.

Location is perfect . Just off one block from the main tourist attraction St George St. Parking next door. Cozy interior and Patio.Lovely Irish lady who go above and beyond just to please you. I'm not sure if she's the owner or not but she cares about the customers for sure. The food was delicious and we just came from Ireland and Great Britain and the food taste just like the one we had in Ireland. The restroom was nice and clean. Food we order came quick we did not have to wait too long but it wasn't that busy. We will be back for more. I almost forgot it's dog friendly. The lady keep changing freshwater in the pot for the dogs who came with the owners. Highly recommend this place even if you just want to have a drink on the patio.

We stopped by there today on a chance, and were pleasantly surprised. The fish and chips were hot, and very favorable. What made it even more fun was meeting a few local there and Trish. Trish is Irish from Dublin and just a hoot. Can't wait to go back again.

They claim the best fish and chips and I would agree although I might have to come back and research some more. Great beers and nice outdoor deck for hanging out. Also a fluffy dog roaming around which makes for a relaxing vibe.
