The BEST food!!!! I have eaten here twice and have gotten the shrimp and grits both times. The best I have ever had!!!! This time we got dessert too…peanut butter and chocolate pie and salted caramel cheesecake. I could have eaten my weight in both! We have been home for a day and I am ready craving it all and can’t wait to go back!! Also love the quiet atmosphere and the view of the water. My husband got the prime rib and he said it was delicious.

Our latest experience (Tuesday, 12/02/25) was the first time we had a negative experience eating at the Reef. Maybe because it was a Tuesday night but everything felt off, best way to say it. The usual quality and attention to detail wasn't there; missing key items on the menu, food came out not quite the same as usual. I do not chalk this up to a typical experience as we have always enjoyed The Reef and would still recommend people going.

Loved the location and ambiance. Service was great. My only complaint is the food. I ordered an Asian salad with seared ahi tuna.... The tuna had no sear and was essentially raw. I told the server who explained that it was sushi grade tuna (which I knew) and could be eaten raw. But I had assumed the tuna would have a sear on it. Anyway, it wasn't great, but was edible. My friend had sangria, which had no flavor at all. The location is incredible and the people are lovely. They just need to step up the quality of the food preparation.

We went the day after thanksgiving and had a great experience. We had a reservation and did not wait at all. The atmosphere was really pretty with Christmas trees and lights . Our food was excellent. Our waiter was friendly and prompt . It was our second time there and won't be the last . We are visiting from Georgia every few weeks .

We usually have a great dining experience at The Reef, but our Thanksgiving Day dining there was disappointing. The place was obviously overwhelmed by the numbers of people they had accommodated by reservations- or they were also taking walk-ins without reservations. Our party arrived on time but was forced into a lengthy wait among a large crowd of people waiting for tables. The “classic” Thanksgiving dinner was served poorly plated, had a sliced turkey roll with cranberry sauce dumped on top - and it came without the expected accompaniment of mashed potatoes. At $38 this sub-par offering did not meet our expectations of value. We are not crossing The Reef off our list completely and will give the place another chance to impress and not disappoint. Perhaps the place needs to shift to a buffet arrangement if it wishes to accommodate more diners on busy holidays.

What a great experience at The Reef! We went for Thanksgiving and loved everything about the place. Our server, Joey, was great, funny, welcoming. The food was delicious and the space was beautifully decorated for the holidays. I can't wait to go back!

As a regular I was misinformed on the night of 11/16 (closing shift) by a woman on the phone that I could not place a to go order and to sit at the bar and have a drink while I wait for my food because they were busy serving large parties. I called back 10 minutes later and no one answered the phone. I called to place a to go order due to the commute time and convenience. I arrived at the restaurant to find a vacant parking lot and no large parties being served. Due to the misinformation I had to wait the commute time for my food to be prepared. As a regular that spends hard earned money at this restaurant I am highly disappointed with this customer service interaction.

Thought the prime rib was lil expensive at $19 at first, but then it came out and realized it was a well proportioned meal, my wife and I could have split it just fine, besides the fact it was so good we would've fought about it even though we'll both be full.
