Ok, so it has been a while since I did a review. This summer I am starting a blog on biscuits and gravy. So today my fiancée and I decided to enjoy the day in St Augustine. I made a post on 904Eats on facebook and asked for a place between Jax and Aug on HWY 1. I got The Spot Cafe. I ordered the southern comfort, biscuits, and gravy with chicken between them. Came with eggs and home-style potatoes. It was so good. When I start my biscuits and gravy blog (summer 2025). I will be sure to add this place. The biscuits were fluffy and most. The gravy just needed a little more pepper for my taste. On my blog scale, I will give it a 9.5 out of 10. Views going on Yelp, Google Review, and my blog page coming soon.

If your looking for a delicious breakfast where you leave so full you could pop.. this is where you need to go! Great service, fantastic prices and (again) the food was 10/10! Your only problem will be trying to figure out what to order! Just know your tastebuds will thank you 😊 I would love to give details on all the food order but we INHALED it! so... pancakes, chicken, biscuits n gravy, grits, eggs, bacon... everything was a yes!

Went to the Spot for the first time yesterday after living in St Augustine for over 10 years, and it was so good we came back for lunch today!

Everything we tried (chicken & waffles, tex-mex skillet, muffaletta, cuban sandwich, ybor salad - a lot!) was delicious, the service was prompt and friendly, and the prices were almost shockingly reasonable relative to most St Aug restaurants.

Totally worth the little drive about 5 minutes north of the city gates!

Can’t believe we’ve been driving by The Spot for 13 years and never tried it. Truly a hidden gem in St Augustine. Excellent service AND food. We enjoyed brunch so much on Saturday that we went back for lunch on Sunday!

Poached eggs were overcooked and the waitress kept bring food to the wrong tables. I would still come back perhaps we caught them on an off day. Our server was very nice. Atmosphere was good.

Best breakfast I’ve had In a while. I got the Greek omelette and my wife had the French toast. Both were awesome and the home fries were out of this world. We had evacuated from the storm with our dogs and they were super nice and accommodating too.

This place was awesome, great breakfast spot with plenty of good lunch selections as well. I had the corned beach hash with poached eggs which was perfect and my wife ordered the French dip which was delicious. Our server was Kaya and she was super sweet and attentive. Will be coming back no doubt.
