Last night my husband and I had a later dinner at The Catfish Place. My husband hadn’t been there since Rife’s was open and was hopeful for how dinner would be. He ordered catfish with green beans, I had chicken wings with a side salad and we ordered fried pickles as an appetizer. The fried pickles were fresh and definitely homemade. My husband doesn’t care for pickles but these were perfect! My side salad came before the meal and was so good, especially with extra of their croutons! Our main meals were hot, fresh and sooooo delicious! My husband’s green beans came with a potato and he loved it! He said the catfish was seasoned and fried perfectly! My wings were a hit as always (it’s my usual go-to)

But if you have to travel 60+ miles one way as we do, be sure to speak to someone at the restaurant before going. Get a name. We checked their website and learned they would be open. Oh yay. When we got there, they were closed both 3/3 & 4 for floor repairs. It would have been great if someone had put an update on the website. Am I asking too much? Don't think so, it's called customer service. Too bad.

This place has been around since the dinosaurs... food hasn't changed. But I don't see what all the hype is about being from NJ there are some good things but no flavor in the seafood breading.

Love this place. Got the pick three and shared it with my husband and still brought food home. Coleslaw best I have ever had and all seafood has different coating.
Everything was good from catfish filet to the sides(French fries, fried okra and salad) and the ranch dressing is amazing! I had plenty leftovers.

Food is always hot & good.. it's a hour n half for me to drive here so I only get it a few times a yr. Wish they would put all you can eat catfish back on the menu. The catfish is my one & only reason to eat here.
