Last night my husband and I had a later dinner at The Catfish Place. My husband hadn’t been there since Rife’s was open and was hopeful for how dinner would be. He ordered catfish with green beans, I had chicken wings with a side salad and we ordered fried pickles as an appetizer. The fried pickles were fresh and definitely homemade. Great food and service.
But if you have to travel 60+ miles one way as we do, be sure to speak to someone at the restaurant before going. Get a name. We checked their website and learned they would be open. Oh yay. When we got there, they were closed both 3/3 & 4 for floor repairs. It would have been great if someone had put an update on the website. Am I asking too much? Don't think so, it's called customer service. Too bad.
This place has been around since the dinosaurs... food hasn't changed. But I don't see what all the hype is about being from NJ there are some good things but no flavor in the seafood breading.
