When I was a kid, my brother and I would spend a portion of our summers at my grandmother's lake house in Keystone Heights. As a treat, she would take us on occasion to Cedar River for supper. The food was always something to look forward to for my brother and I. Just recently, nearly 40 years after going to the restaurant with my grandmother, I was passing through Stark with my family and had to stop for lunch. Even after 40 years, the food and service were just as good as I remembered. Next month, my brother, father, and I will be passing through Stark, and we're all looking forward to another great seafood dinner at Cedar River. It's such a blessing to be able to go back to a place from your childhood that has stood the test of time. Your seafood is the best!

Only had 2 waitresses so service was slow but pleasant. Food was okay, baby limsa were a bit mushy. Mashed sweet potatoes were pureed. Fried okra and hush puppies were delicious. My fried shrimp was okay. My husband had blackened snapper, he said it was okay.

Ladies and gentleman this restraunt was an excellent experience. Was the food good? Absolutely delicious. Was the service and staff good? Phenomenal!!! The food was amazing and had so much flavor and the proportions were huge!!! Cedar river is one of my new favorite places and I will certainly be going back

We ordered the seafood for two and when they say two it's enough three. The fried oysters, fish,shrimp was fried perfectly. This is one of my favorite places to eat. If you have not eaten there yet, please go you will not be disappointed. A very satisfied customer

Second time eating here. Our server Delia, as others, make eating there a pleasure. If you have questions, just ask! No surprises. You can purchase seafood for less but their portions are twice the size of the other seafood restaurant . We always have enough for another meal. And yes, as someone mentioned, if you want their delicious side salad, you pay an additional $1.99 and only get one other side. It's right on the menu several times. Good job Cedar River. See you next time!

I was greeted friendly and service was wonderful, our waitress was very professional. While I was waiting for my dinner another friendly waitress seen I was board and brought crayons🖍️ to table and told me I could color if I could””” if not I could just chew on them 😂 but it was because she remembered my family from last time
We were here and was a wonderful dinner time and food was amazing and plentiful.

The place is dirty and the server was unattentive.The food is very expensive 100.00 for 2 people. The house salad is an extra charge of 2.00 and its only a bowl of iceberg lettuce, 1 sliver of red onion, and 1 cherry tomato. Not a place we will frequent.
