We had dinner at The Black Marlin tonight. We started with escargot and fried calamari. Hands down the best calamari in the area! So tender with a light batter cooked to perfection. Entrees included one of the specials, a chicken entree, grouper, and a pasta dish. All were served hot and nicely presented. Sure to become a new favorite we can't wait to return!
I had never been to the Black Marlin so it was a destination for my daughter in-laws birthday. The food was very good but I also had very high expectations. Presentation could have been better. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was fine and it was easy to have a conversation. The parking on the other hand, was awful. Made for a nice stroll downtown. I will go back and try some other items.
This was a random date night and it ended up being such an amazing experience.
Our server was great, very attentive, answered all our questions. I wish I got her name, she was a blonde working 8/16 :)

Genuinely some of the best pasta I have had in a while!
The atmosphere is also very chill and perfect for a cozy date night. We will absolutely be coming back for more dates in the future ?
