We have been to Cafe Matier many times with large family groups, and our family of 5, and today most recently, just my wife and I, and our 3rd daughter for her 14th birthday. It was by far the most amazing meals we've had in a very long time. FROM THE NY STRIP cooked to perfection with a melting herbed butter complete with garlic mashed potatoes and perfectly prepared thick asparagus to a LAMB, ANDOUISE SAUSAGE, AND BEEF BOURBON GLAZED MEATLOAF, with garlic mashed potatoes and glazed baby carrots, to a CHICKEN FRANCAISE with fettuccine in a light vevelty butter lemon sauce 😋. The hostess sat us kindly, gently and quickly and Renata (our server) was soft spoken and very good at keeping our drinks filled without asking. She asked my daughter if she would like a dessert because it's free for her birthday. She picked the Key Lime Pie and we just delved into it tonight when we got home. The presentation in every dish tonight was a picture as an edible purple orchid finished off each entree. Ashley delivered the entrees to our table with a smile. I honestly cant say enough great things about Cafe Martier. If you want ambience, history, flavor, and a memory that will not soon be forgotten, take the time to create one at one of the hidden gems in downtown Stuart. Sincerely, Dr Bunk & Family. Ps. THE SAXAPHONE PLAYER created a jazz like vibe tonight and it was awesome!!! We,'ll be back many more times.

What a wonderful edition to the downtown Stuart dining scene! Love, love, love this place. Love the historic venue, the two bars, the intimate spaces, the charming breezeway, the service, drinks and delicious and thoughtful menu, everything is memorable and fabulous! Such style and class and character. No need to ever dine again in an ugly, uninspired, boring, vanilla, chain block restaurant, ugh. Support real chefs and stylish dining establishments, with heart and soul !

First time in back dining room . Although an historic restaurant , I noticed several things that could be changed . The ceiling in the back room had a beautiful chandelier hanging from an unfinished ceiling which exposed all the pipes and old wood . The ac vents were dripping water on some of the tables as we ate. In addition, the wood tables for eating worried me. We should have been placemats to put on dishes on especially the silverware which could have picked up germs lying on the old wood tables . I am sure, with all the money made in this establishment, they can fix things to be more appealing . The service was fine and the food was good . Until things get changed for the better, I probably would not return.

I recently had my baby shower here and it was perfect. Christine was awesome to work with, and made sure everything was taken care of. The food was fantastic, and the servers were awesome as well. Everyone kept saying what a great place it was, how good the food was and what a great time they had.

This is a unique little place tucked into downtown Stuart. Someone would have to recommend it for you to ever know it was there. The food was exquisite. Some of the best crab cakes I have ever eaten! Atmosphere is very quaint and lovely. Service was warm and friendly. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite places in downtown Stuart. Brunch every day is amazing, I love there bottomless mimosa, not stingy and great juice options. Live music on weekends. Recommend reservations for weekend brunch. At night, the cocktail bar is open featuring traditional and modern craft cocktails. It can sometimes be a wait for service when its buay. I recommend going early to get a seat and cocktails before the bartenders are jammed. Great vibe and good times always.

We regularly go toLaGrande. The food, drinks and staff are really good. Our favorite dish, that neither of us ever thought we would even like, is their shrimp and grits. Neither of us have ever liked grits.
But we are writing this review because of the bartender Erica. We sat there last week early afternoon and my wife said we have to go because of the noise. I told Erica we had to leave because my wife has Alzheimer's and noise is a real problem, She moved us twice and the second time she put us so far out of the way I was stunned. So good food and drinks with a staff that goes the extra mile what more could you want
Thanks again Erica
