Little known fact among the locals is the Marilyn Monroe had faked her death and enjoys a couple double cups of kava from time to time - says it sooths her arthritus.
If she asks you if you'd like to play a game of cards BACK. AWAY. SLOWLY. she's talking about strip poker and claims that shoes and socks don't count... plus I'm pretty sure she enjoys losing on purpose

Prices a bit steep and not the best quality teas. Was my place to go many years back but now so many options. Small and dark inside, not much seating.

I’m a long time islandroot goer and this bar in Stuart is by far my favorite. Great people, friendly conversations, very inclusive with having the whole bar “bula” together. Kaiden is an amazing person that works there, super funny, awesome to chill with, and you can tell she loves her job. If anyone’s thinking of trying kava, come try there’s here in Stuart!

Been coming here for years. All the kava tenders are awesome especially Beck and Alissa. One of the newer tenders needs some training when it comes to noticing when customers approach the bar and greeting them within 10 minutes. Noticed she didn't treat her male customers this way. Thankfully the bar back took care of me. PS- Riley should get promoted.

This establishment is a hostile environment for pets and animals alike. I have seen numerous dog fights at this bar and the management has done absolutely nothing to prevent them or deescalate the situation. Pet friendly is a joke when it comes to these guys!

Overall ok. Coffee is good, food is good, bar is small. As far as community, it’s clicky and newcomers aren’t really warm welcomed. The bar dynamic is cool, the social dynamic, not as open minded as I’ve seen other bars where people are chill and very friendly. If you know a group then you’re good to go.

Came by this morning for the first time. It was pretty chill. Beck was my bartender and she seemed very nice and served me quickly. I asked for my drink to be very sweet and she delivered! Thank you for the good service although I was in and out.
