Renato's & Josephine's Restaurant

On Christmas Eve, our experience at Renato's and Josephine’s was extremely disappointing. Despite arriving before others, we waited over an hour for our meals, only to see tables that arrived after us getting served first. The rude and arrogant behavior from the owner, especially towards my elderly mother, was unacceptable. This lack of respect and poor service overshadowed our holiday celebration. Will not be returning!

Went with a party of 8 for Christmas Eve. Waited one hour and 45 minutes for our dinner. Only got it when we threatened to leave. Four of us took a couple of bites and a sent my bsck full plates. Pasta and shrimp undercooked. Scampi tasteless. Figured they would throw us a bone when we sent back full plates. Nope. Full price. $180.00 For three people who didn’t eat ! The worst dining experience of our lives. Will never go back. You are warned !

Wonderful service and atmosphere with plenty of seating. Great for parties, events, and special occasions. Unfortunately, I ate something that tasted like a chemical (kerosene?) gave me a headache for the rest of the night. I've eaten at this restaurant about five times prior to this and never experienced that before so this was a one-off situation.

Veal Pizzaiola with spaghetti was totally amazing. Paired with Montepulciano d’Abruzza, could not have had a better dinner!

Renato’s is a small but beautiful establishment with a cozy, intimate atmosphere. I ordered the Shrimp Monachina and it was genuinely delicious — definitely the highlight of my visit.
However, there were several downsides that took away from the overall experience. There’s no online menu available, which makes it hard to get a sense of the options or pricing beforehand. Finding the entrance was also confusing, which didn’t make for the smoothest start.
Service was a bit disappointing. Our server, an older woman, wasn’t very helpful with explaining dishes on the menu and even made a few unnecessary comments — for example, when I tried to help pass a heavy glass of soda to a 10-year-old, she remarked that he “has it and can lean in to get it.” Drink orders took too long to arrive, and some had to be requested multiple times before we finally got them.
While my Shrimp Monachina tasted great, the portion of pasta underneath was very small. I finished eating well before anyone else at my table. For one entrée, a drink, and tip, my total came to $59, which felt steep given the portion size and service issues.
Renato’s has potential with its charming atmosphere and flavorful food, but the service and value for the price left me underwhelmed.

Renatos and Josephine’s was a great experience. My family and I just moved to the area and we are so happy it did not disappoint. Our waiter Reef gave us an excellent experience and helped us with everything we needed.

Great local Italian with traditional dishes. Been coming here for years. I always get chicken parm hero for lunch. Food and service are always good.

I come here quite a bit for lunch. Nice bar to sit at. Great pizza. I like to get the Chicken Parm Sub too.

Use to go there twice a week. Food was good. Drinks a little pricey. They charged my credit card $ 750.00 for a tip. If I hadn't seen it in my statement the next day they would have got away with it. I immediately texted the bar tender who served me that night. I remembered exactly how much my bill was. She said she would tell the owner Josespine. She called me and asked me if she should mail me a check as giving credit back to my card could take upto a year. Right there the red flag went up. They can reverse it instantly. Two weeks went by and still no check. I called Josephine and she said she mailed the check the following day. Three months later still no check. I was flying down that day and called Josephine and said I'll be in to pick up my money that night. I arrived and she handed me an envelope with my $ 750.00 and not a word came out of her mouth. Not even I'm sorry this happened. Shameful way of doing business. How many others has this been done to. Come to find out it's happened to others as well. Beware if you go there. They cut me off their Facebook page and blocked me. Truth hurts !!!! I've also found out they're deep in debt and vendors are on a cash only upon deliveries. I'm a fair person but this is not right. Good luck if you should go there.

I ordered the linguini with all the seafood, but instead they brought me linguini with clams. When I told the waitress (a young girl) that this was not what I ordered, she just looked at me as if to say, “well, you’re stuck with it.” She didn’t make any effort to correct the order or offer a solution—she simply walked away and left me with food I didn’t want. I found that very rude and unprofessional. On top of that, paying $35 for a meal I didn’t enjoy made the whole experience even worse.
