Took over 40 minutes to get a burger and a mahi wrap. The burger had no cheese. Asked for potato salad and got fries. My boys were so hungry by the time we got our food they just ate what they were given. It took about 7ish minutes for them to get our drinks (ask) and another 7ish to get our order. Only about 4 tables had people and there were a few at the bar.

The burger had no flavor. The Mahi wrap was good.

The waitress recommended the pineapple bowl so I took her advice it turns out it came with no rice one chunk of pineapple and three peppers. The fish was laid on top of the empty bowl. I was so hungry and didn’t want to complain I started to eat. Then I said to myself at $ 23.00 I should have rice do I told the waitress she said she would get me rice and sauce for my fried fish. . She did when she served me the rice she said they made my fish and it was at the bottom of the bowl so no rice left. She also admitted they are giving less fries. When I asked to speak to manager he would not come out. Disgraceful.

Excellent experience. Madilyn was a very attentive server and super nice. The food was awesome. Grooper sandwich was huge and Mahi wrap was awesome. Loved it! Fun atmosphere. Definitely recommend! Next time cheesesteaks!

I have no idea about the food and the atmosphere looked nice, but the service was weird. We walked in at 3:45 and the restaurant was empty. We asked the gentleman if they were open, and he said yes, just sit at a table that isn’t reserved. Fair enough. The only problem was that EVERY table was reserved except one in the sun and two high tops.

We started to sit down and an employee rushed over to tell us it was reserved. We were shocked that they couldn’t find us a good place to sit in an empty restaurant. We felt very unwelcome so we went elsewhere.

Portions small. Fries were old and Philly steak is chopped meat. Wanted to charge us $5 for a glass of water even after purchasing wine, beer and dinner. Jim the owner is cheapskate.

I’m from Bucks County, PA and this was so refreshing! It’s impossible to find philly food down south. The fries were incredible. Whiz was just what we were hoping for. Hot peppers on the cheesesteak were too hot… maybe ask for them on the side. Otherwise we really enjoyed!

A visit to Philly Down South is a MUST! The food is fantastic and reasonably priced. They book local music acts that bring great talent to the stage. The staff is always welcoming, professional and friendly. The tiki bar atmosphere is exactly what you're looking for after a day at the beach or for a relaxing dinner. The owner, Jim, is ALWAYS present and interacts with customers to make sure that everything is up to their expectations. I can't say enough good things about PHILLY DOWN SOUTH and I always look forward to my next visit!
