Food is pretty good but as others have stated, the service is terrible. Sit down or take out. Yes, there are some very good employees so let’s not discredit them but placed an order to go. Wait 7 minutes alone at the counter. 3 workers behind the counter just sipping on drinks and talking to the back kitchen staff. I had to legitimately walk over to the take out foods. Find my name. Tell them “Hey, my food has been sitting here. I’m taking it. Bye”. Add to that, food ended...

I’ve been to Sammy J’s plenty of times, and it never disappoints. The food’s always on point big portions, cooked right, and comes out quick. The French toast is always loaded and delicious. The place just has that laid back local vibe that makes you wanna keep coming back.
Lisa and Nate are awesome super friendly and always take care of you. They make the whole experience better every time I’m in. You can tell they actually enjoy what they do.

The food was actually very good, but the service was horrible. The waitresses should check with their customers a little more often to ensure they don't need something. I needed napkins & a coffee refill, but waited about 45 mins before someone else, not my waitress, came to my table outside & asked. Then my check seemed to have been lost & it took about 30 mins just for me to pay for my meal.
