By far, one of the best places in Stuart, and in this part of Florida altogether. From the minute, you greeted at the door to the minute you exit several hours later, the Gafford is a high quality, fun place to visit for dinner, drinks, or any gathering. The Burrata appetizer is amazing and so are the Lamb lollies. My wife gets the lollies for a dinner meal because they are that amazing. Richard, our server is top shelf, as is John. They are professional, and know. the menu extremely well. Richard helped us enjoy an amazing evening. This is one of our favorite places in Stuart and we will be back again within the next few days. Happy new year to the Gafford team. Truly, an amazing place due to the owner, Rick and his son who is the executive chef. Happy new year.

I reserved a table 2 weeks in advance; unfortunately we were seated at the worst table in the restaurant - next to the kitchen and the back door.
I ordered the snapper which was overcooked. The meatloaf didn't live up to its reputation - very sugary.
We did enjoy the carrot cake!

Service was great, the atmosphere was great, and the crabcakes were perfect. I’ve had the same meal in the past and it was perfection, but this time the ribeye had no flavor and the filet mignon had no flavor and was tough to cut. For the price and the hour drive, I expected much more.

Always good food. I love the fish, grouper or snapper, but my husband got the shortribs and cleaned his plate. Service has always been great as well.
For our entrees my Wife had the Street Corn Salad and I got the Mabel's Fried Chicken. The Corn Salad was ok but didn't seem to be interesting. Same could be said about the fried chicken. Nice tender chicken breast with a nice flaky crust but really no distinguishing flavor. Green beans were perfectly cooked. Mashed potatoes were ok as was the gravy. Bottom line: after the incredible bisque, the rest of the meal, although ok, was a bit of a let-down. I will return however.
Group of 8. All with different tastes, items. Very well prepared, great flavor, excellent service.
Might suggest your orginal Swordfish presentation. Why change perfection? Tonights less desirable...womans opinion. Wish original swordfish presentation was back on the menu. Came for Wine Wednesday... darn it is gone! Loyal customers for years and years.
Visiting from NJ. Chose for dinner based on the great reviews. Agreed - great food and service!

deep fail for the Gafford
Yesterday evening my wife and I made reservations to celebrate our anniversary at the Gafford. Service was slow. Actually very slow. But you know what, that left us with plenty of time for good conversation over drinks to be rewarded with good food afterwards, right?
I ordered the signature dish, aptly named “the Gafford” a substantive ribeye served with mac and cheese, as I had done numerous times in the past. Particularly, I like my meat done medium rare.
Well…
when, after a long time, our meal arrived, I found my steak tough and dry (not medium rare juicy) and lacking the usual flavor. It had been undeniably over-cooked, and for the first time ever in a restaurant I attempted to return the plate. After an elapse of, say maybe ten minutes, a woman appeared back at my table with my original plate. She presented the same piece of meat back to me with a deep slice into the thickest part to prove to me that indeed it had been cooked medium rare. And the meat was a little more pink in the middle. Being a good sport I took a piece right from the deepest part of the middle, but again found it tough and flavorless (when a steak reaches a certain internal temperature it loses a lot of moisture and the character of it changes dramatically) and on top of that it was now cold. Of course, I rejected it for the second time.
Thanks to the staff of the Gafford for ruining our anniversary dinner.
Not so much for the poor service and the overdone “Gafford” steak (because everybody, me included, can make a mistake) but by your contentious behavior, by bringing the same piece of tasteless meat (which had now been toyed with) back to my table in an attempt to prove I was over-reacting.
Really?

Food was delicious as usual. Great apps that were so good. Entrees were 5 star. Only down side was bar was so crowded due to pre theater crowd that we had to have cocktails at the Black Marlin before dinner. However cocktails there were great!
Great as always. Sat outside which was beautiful but some of the traffic circling the Main Street was loud.
Absolutely incredible as always with the family of restaurants owned by the Wilson Family. The food was a 20/10 and was completely devoured. We have driven over 3 hours to go to Palm City Social the other restaurant owned by Chef Taylor and his Dad and this one definitely didn’t disappoint either. Locals you are definitely spoiled to have such incredible food and hospitality nearby. Please go out and support this amazing family and both restaurants.
