We don’t live in Stuart anymore but come down frequently to see family and friends. We love the Googan Coffee Shop because the coffee and cookies are amazing. It is such a welcoming place and the owners and staff make you feel like you are at home.

Randomly found this on Google on the way to work this morning. The photos look like it was an extremely clean place and super nice. I was really happy to see that the pictures on Google were exactly what I found when I walked in. Probably the cleanest coffee shop I’ve ever been in. You can tell the team takes a lot of pride in how they run this place. The food was really good and the coffee was decent. But even if the food wasn’t as good as it was or the coffee was not as good. I would still come back just because of how clean and attentive. The staff were this morning. Immediate service, everybody look like they were in a great mood, just an overall five star experience. Really hard to get this in this area.

I really wanted to like this place bc everyone recommended it, it’s a local biz & it’s really nice looking inside. But the drinks are essentially dessert, way too sweet. I thought maybe it was just a fluke at their Jensen location so I drove south to the new location in Stuart. My next visit I’d try their food (bacon, cheese croissant) and a simple latte with no sugar, so as to taste their bean roasting notes. Yikes. My latte looked and tasted like milk (notice all the other pics of lattes, they’re very milky looking). The croissant tasted like something from McDonald’s. I had to throw both away. With so many other local options within reach (Hani Honey, Gilbert’s, Blue Door, Roasted Record), I’d go elsewhere for good coffee. If you are looking for a sugary “latte” treat, then yes, you’ll love The Googan.

Update 12/2024: I visited again and the smell of cleaning products is no longer noticeable and I will return again. Thank you for fixing this.

1st time here and it was a great experience. The square knot coffee wasn’t too sugary and the breakfast food hit the spot. Pleasant atmosphere
We just left the Googan and let me say now, I totally understand why it is consistently ranked #1 coffee shop in Stuart / Jensen Beach. As we arrived, the sheriff was grabbing his cup, and greeted us in the parking lot. Inside, it was cozy and chic, with live edge wood tables and nautical touches. The emblem is a work of Cthulhu-esque art, an octopus grappling with a storm-ridden ship. Jim made small talk with us and even topped my Square Knot with cold foam and cinnamon. It tasted like a Snickernoodle in a cup. Absolutely divine, with hints of honey and vanilla without being cloying or overpowering. My husband enjoyed his flat white, and they even had a sensory bin of toy trucks and kinetic sand to calm my raging toddler. The staff was patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. I will definitely make this my regular spot when I'm visiting family in Stuart. They have a drive thru as well as a convenient downtown location, and let's face it, if a place that sells huge gobs of cookies can survive next to an LA Fitness, you know it has perfected its magic.

I hope if you live in the area you never feel the need to go to starbs or dunks again because the googan has actually good coffee! I’ve been in the area for a few years and I have become spoiled by the quality of the baked goods, the excellent coffee, and in particular the incredible staff. Y'all are consistently friendly, helpful, my order is literally never wrong, and I am always glad to chat with whoever is at the window. Ditch the bad coffee Stuart/Jensen. It’s worth it.
