Cafe Lucia, Lake Weir

My husband and I have passed by **Café Lucia** so many times saying, “We need to stop there,” and today we finally did—and I’m so glad we did! This spot is such a hidden gem. It’s right on the water, and the back patio is the *perfect* place to sit, relax, and enjoy some great food and coffee with a beautiful view. The inside is super clean, cozy, and gives off the best vibe—ideal for studying, working, or just hanging out. We ordered the **Jacob’s Java Jazz**, an **iced white mocha**, and a **chocolate frappe**—and every single drink was a hit. The Java Jazz had the perfect balance of sweetness with a warm cinnamon twist, the white mocha was creamy and smooth, and the frappe was rich, chocolatey, and so satisfying. We’ll *definitely* be back next time we’re in the area. If you’ve been thinking about checking out Café Lucia, do yourself a favor and GO!

Love their coffee flights! I loved that it had a clean atmosphere and a play area for kids. Very young staff and they were very impressive and professional! Shout out to Emily B for great service!

Today, I visited Cafe Lucia at Lake Weir and decided to try their coffee flight, which offers four different coffees, each about 6-8oz, for $15. The coffee was enjoyable, though we found the flavors to be somewhat similar. For our meal, we opted for the waffles, served with strawberries and whipped cream, along with a side of bacon for $8.50. Unfortunately, the dish didn't meet our expectations as the waffles were more like pancakes cooked in a waffle iron, and the bacon seemed to be microwaved. We also treated ourselves to a strawberry cupcake for $5, which I felt was a bit pricey for what seemed to be a boxed cupcake. Despite the culinary missteps, the staff were incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was charming, complete with a delightful kids' corner. Overall, while our visit didn't quite live up to our expectations, the pleasant service and decor made for a nice experience.

The atmosphere seemed okay. Unfortunately when my husband and I entered we stood there until a staff member noticed us, a gentleman did greet us and explained how to order. When we went to order two women, one was an employee, were talking in front of the place to order. We stood and waited for about 4-5 minutes and they saw us, but stood there and talked and did not offer to help us. The gentleman looked to be uncomfortable as we stood there waiting. My husband is black and I’m white and I can’t confirm that this is the reason that we were not taken care of by this employee, but I can’t think of any other reason other than her just being a terrible employee or racist. The employee who ignored us and did not service us was an overweight woman. Because of this we did not try any food, and we would not recommend visiting this establishment.

This is a really big letdown because I have been very excited to try this place ever since I saw their coffee flights on Facebook.

We've been driving by this cute place and stopped in today to give this gem of a cafe a try. We were greeted warmly, with true Southern hospitality!!!!! After we perused the menu and ordered, we wandered outside to a table with a view of the lake. Our breakfast was delicious! Definitely try the Reg! Our strawberry smoothie was yummy!!!! We're definitely coming back and very soon!!!!!

Awesome experience! Thanks a bunch for restoring hospitality to the south! The smoothie was to die for! Croissant was spot on! Sat outside, very cozy and peaceful by the water and well kept grounds..refreshing customer service all the way around! Definitely Coming back! Very quaint,friendly and fun! It was a great stop for us , glad we found a local gem! Way to go! ?

We didn't end up going there because we couldn't get there by golf cart - not their fault. When we called, the lady that answered the phone was very gracious and said they are dog-friendly with two options, and offered suggestions for best parking to walk the dogs to the patio.
I WILL visit there next chance I get!

Gave them another chance today, the coffee flights were good but the food is not good!! I ordered the lake side scramble very disappointing soooo much pepper in the eggs I couldn't even eat them. The plate was removed from my table un touched and he did not ask if there was a problem. Not to mention our food was originally delivered to the wrong table then when realized was brought to out table ?. SPENT $75.00 BEFORE TIP!!! This is the 2nd time it's been an issue. I wish I could share a picture of the eggs. We Will NEVER go back here but Jacob is awesome. I ALSO NOTICE THEY ONLY RESPOND TO 5 STAR REVIEWS!!!
