Sandbar at Newport Pier

Yesterday Saturday night I had dinner with my family, there were 5 of us, the food stank, it had no taste, the worst food I have eaten in a long time, because on Monday I went to eat in the afternoon, the food was different, I knew well that it was the same menu Monday something happens? They should improve.

I’m a local that has been visiting for ten years, and im very dissapointed at The changes, the new QR code sistem dosen’t work so us, basically they have no food and it’s be come a basic bar, you can’t have nice dinner any more.
This it’s really bad :(

Beautiful view but Service was horrible. Ordered sandwich with soggy bread. Cold fries other food was bad. The other sandwich came with burnt bread. Slow service and automatic service charge not deserved and expensive. Losers.

Here's how to do Sandbar: go, sit at the bar (hope that Julia is there), get a spicy paloma and order the chicken tenders (the most critical part is ordering the chicken tenders!!), then order another spicy paloma and then another and then another. Great vibes 10/10 can't wait to go back.

I selected this wonderful location which I knew from the past, to take a friend visiting Miami. After we sat down, it took 15 min until someone paid attention to us. We were given 2 different menus, but the waiter took one saying that nothing on that menu was available. The remaining one was a 4 x 9" card, on one side cocktails, on the other side a few dishes, surprisingly few for a restaurant. We selected 2 green salads and 2 lemonades. The lemonades came immediately, but one hour later we were still waiting for the salads. We asked the passing waiter a few times. At about 90 min of us sitting there, the 2 salads came, but it was not what we had ordered. They had chicken (we are vegetarians) and the salad was the volume of a side-order. With difficulty we tried to get the attention of the waiter, who reluctantly took the dishes back. Half an hour went by with no news. I went to talk to what looked like a manager, and she said she would check. Later she said "Still nothing?". We decided to leave the restaurant after over two hours. I informed it to the woman and to the waiter, did not hear an apology from the waiter, other than saying "we are busy". !? With those experiences, busy-ness may not last!

The food is hit or miss. Anything fried is typically fried to oblivion, burnt, and tasteless. But at least the service is okay and the atmosphere is good.

If overpriced watered down drinks are your thing, then this is the place for you. The manager lady(refused to tell me her name) only cares about chasing kids from fishing than servicing anyone. The bar tenders are great until she arrives. Then you feel like you owe them rather than a client. Never again will I go here.

Parking: They will ticket you for waiting for a parking spot.

This is a nice place to sit down and relax...breathe in ocean breeze and look at the beautiful beach. They have good burgers and the drinks are really good. The service was top knotch. We were treated with a lot of charisma, and respect. Very fast service.

Terrible staff with zero knowledge of a basic menu. Showed up and they had zero draft beer available on a Friday. They auto tip at 22% and the staff are never around. This is a shame because the location is amazing. But this place falls short on so many levels.

I love this places, everything was perfect, the services was excelente and the food is really good. The view and sunsent more than perfect.

This little bar was one of the coolest places we went over our vacation in Miami. The bartenders were so sweet and chatty and the view could not be beat. The drinks are incredible and the prices aren’t bad. Definitely will be back.

Spectacular stay, Rachel the waitress she’s amazing, the weather wasn’t great but she recommended the best cocktail ever, you don’t care about the weather
