My friend really needed to use the restroom, so we stopped by El Tayta Café. Unfortunately, they told us that the restroom was only for customers, so we had to sit down and order something. The dessert was delicious, and the drinks were great—I even tried the Peruvian drink Chicha Morada for the first time, and it was fantastic. Overall, we enjoyed our experience, but I would kindly ask the owners to reconsider requiring a food order just to use the restroom.
The food was not that bad, although I expected more, Peruvian food is very delicious and in this restaurant it was only good. I ordered rice with seafood, the bad thing about this dish is that they put a whole shrimp (maybe to decorate) but, shrimp are known as cleaners, they eat all the $@^#& in their habitat, when my husband tried to Breaking it is as if I had ruptured the intestine, black, bad-smelling water ran down my plate and that almost ruined my dinner.

El Tayta Peruvian restaurant has enhanced in different areas since my last visit which was a few years ago. Now, it looks bigger and with artistic murals referring to the Peruvian culture. The quality of its food is extraordinary; I ordered traditional Peruvian food like “Leche de Tigre” and “Lomo Saltado” and both plates tasted delicious.
