I am from Venezuela and whenever I am in South Florida I make it a priority to stop here for food 🫶 they make the best empanadas and tequeños (they have other things on the menu) as well as they offer a selection of traditional cheeses and snacks/sweets! ☺️

Customer service was not good. Apart from that, I didn't find the place pleasant enough to stay and eat. However, the empanadas were what I ate. Yes they were good.
I was really craving a rich and authentic Venezuelan arepa. Here I tried the arepa and the tequeños. What a delight! I was super satisfied with the food and the service. Daniel treated me like a queen. He just needed to put the crown on me, hahaha.

Fiesta Tequeños have no flavor. Ground beef empanada and cheese empanada, they don't taste like anything either. Everything is expensive. Dirty and messy tables while the girl is on her phone. The service is not the best, it does not feel pleasant. Really awkward place ?

Many years have passed since I returned to Cafe Canela, and I think it was a mistake Very good cheese empanadas The Horrible Pepiada Queen with Rusty Avocado But what really makes me write the Review is the attitude of the manager or owner, when I asked him what the additional charge of 3.9% added to the total of my account was and for which he could not give me an explanation, he only told me it is a Service Fee There are many Venezuelan food options in Weston and none of them are cheap, but they certainly don't try to make unexplained charges like those at Café Canela.

More than 10 years since last visit to Weston and this amazing place to eat Venezuelan food; as always Ramon the owner with the same enthusiasm made me to have a great time while having delicious cheese empanada and tequeños.
