Unbelievable food. The best food in town by far, not even close. Flavors are incredible, feels like mom made it. Selection is amazing. You have to come here. Never stop going. I had the curry chicken, curry chick peas and white rice. Unreal. Amazing. Highly recommend.

Parking: Easy to find. Parking close by, but spots are limited as there are other businesses in the plaza that generate heavy traffic.

TERRIFIC! AUTHENTIC!! FAMILY OWNED--and it shows. If you don't stop by this place while you are in Tamarac, you are really missing out. Jerk chicken, rice and peas, curry chicken, oxtail, all the Jamaican staples are done with love and authenticity.

If the owner reads this I deserve a free meal. I spent $30 on a large oxtail which is a lot . But this place had good reviews so it’s fine I was willing to pay that. Then I barley got any actual oxtail in the large plate. The man serving my food put the least amount possible on my plate. When I finally go to eat it it was it was not seasoned correctly and the gravy was like water. That same night I had horrible stomach pains and vomited the oxtail making this trip to Chelly’s a waste of money. It made my stomach very upset. Worst oxtail I ever had

Wife and I came down from maryland. It's been 3 years since we last visited Chellys. Today we stopped by and picked up dinner, and it tastes absolutely delicious. We'll worth a 1300mile drive. The food is amazing, the store is wonderful and the family working there are wonderful.

Had Chelly's cater lunch for the office. Everyone loved the food. The food was fresh and perfectly seasoned to the bone. This is the 3rd time we've had our lunch catered by Chelly's and definitely won't be the last.

My favorite Jamaican restaurant in all of South Florida, definitely a hidden gem. I normally got the large curry goat with spinach rice and I find the prices very reasonable considering the quality and the taste.

I have traveled around Broward and Miami Dade county for several years searching for the best Caribbean restaurants, and it appears that I have finally found the best Jamaican restaurant. I’ve eaten at and reviewed dozens of Caribbean restaurants and even travel to Jamaica on a regular basis, and I know what authentic home-cooked food is. This has to be the most absolutely delightfully seasoned food I have tasted anywhere. I had the jerk chicken lunch and almost walked back in for another lunch order. The main reason I feel this is the best restaurant is because they make authentic home-cooked rice and peas, where you can really taste the coconut milk. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu items. The service was fast and very friendly. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful. The pricing is unbelievably reasonable , I would even say cheap, for the quality of the food which is high quality food.

April 2024 UPDATEI am extremely disappointed with the quality of the food I recently received from this restaurant. I ordered the brown stew chicken and was met with tough, overcooked meat that had a gritty texture. It was clear that the dish was not fresh and had likely been sitting for hours. The gravy was thick and unappetizing, and the rice and vegetables were hard and unpleasant to eat.I had paid hard-earned money for a meal that I couldn't even stomach after a couple of bites. To make matters worse, the packaging for carryout was not secure and some of the juices leaked out into the bag. I used to enjoy dining here when they first opened, but the quality of the food has gone down. The service was mediocre at best, and the prices are far too high for such subpar food.It was a disappointing experience overall, and I hope that they can do better and make changes in the food quality.Jan 2020 UPDATE:Had the large oxtail and it only came with 6pcs of oxtails and had little to no meat on them. I must say I was disappointed this time.?2018I am very pleased with the the excellent service and well seasoned food at Chelly’s. Everything looks good just want to buy up everything.Now this is a real ??Jamaican restaurant unlike Dutch Pot?I found Chelly’s a few months ago after being disappointed too many times with Dutch Pots inconsistent food, long lines, and themmessing up on my order. I’m glad I found Chelly’s service. It is always consistent. “Please don’t change”❤️

Really good food, I ate the jerk chicken and I've also tried the curry chicken. Oxtail is really good. These people can do a great job with food. 6.99 lunch special which is better price than any fast food restaurant. Staff is friendly
