I walk in and the guy at counter starts shaking his head and looks at other customers who he seemed to know. I said I’m picking up for uber and he was very rude and unwelcoming and said uber orders are done, after an order has already been placed.
Rude and unwelcoming. Take your money to establishments who actually want your business and aren’t rude people.
My mom ordered from choublak for the first time ever today.... Turkey Tassot, white rice with the bean sauce, I dont eat plantains but they looked fresh and she said they were great but they do tassot like no other resturaunt super tender, FLAVOR WAS OUTTA THIS WORLD🚀🎯 and HUGE chunks, but man I'm an American and have tried many Haitian resturaunts from here to nc but this is definitely THE BEST in broward idk what happened in some of the other negative reviews but man this shit is on point today 11/2/25 4 p.m. and also mom said the resturaunt was noticeably very clean... KEEP IT UP 🔥🔥 will definitely return and yall are my new go-to
Everything from the sauce to the picklis to the meat was packing superb flavor....
100/10 stars definitely would recommend this, superceded my expectations by a longshot

Went before closing and they were having a private event but the gentleman running the restaurant was kind enough to welcome us in and make our orders. The food was delicious and the hospitality was just as good.

Terrible service, terrible customer service. These people took my order on DoorDash. Waited almost an hour for the driver to come to tell him, they don’t have any of the product I ordered, then tried to upcharge me for something THEY Didn’t have. We support black businesses and this is the kind of things they choose to do. 30 dollars for a plate of food mind you. I’ll never try here again
We ordered a platter of griots for our party. When we arrived, at the pick up time, it wasn't ready. We had to wait 40 minutes to get it. We served the griot two hours later, so I'm not sure if I can totally blame them for the dryness. Still, it was very, very dry. Almost at the point that you couldn't eat it. Some of the pieces, you couldn't tell if it was meat of bone. If you're spending over $120 for food, it needs to be better than this. I hate to give a bad review, but perhaps it will help the chef to adjust his recipe.
It's too bad. I want to support Haitian restaurants. There are two within walking distance of where I live. But I've given up on both of them. I had to drive 10 miles to go pick up this griot I ordered from Choublak, because I heard such good things about it. Why is it so hard to find a good Haitian place to eat?
Griot is supposed to be crisp, not hard (overcooked) on the inside. I suspect that it was frozen from the day before. I ordered this days before, so they had plenty of time to prepare and get it ready. But I have to say, the receptionist was supernice, very courteous and polite. The restaurant itself is very clean, and someone put a lot of care into the design. Maybe we'll give it another try one day.

Ordered takeout. Food was flavorless and overpriced. $22 for griot! I do not recommend this place. The griot was rubbery and bland. Rice not enough salt or oil. Dry. Plantains terrible colorless, raw and flavorless too.

The beet salad on Sunday was excellent! The food portion is super appreciated so that you don’t overeat, just enough. Great customer service and food is consistently good.
I love their food, decor, and service. I always leave this place with a smile on my face.

$25 for soup joumou is absolutely insane! Not only was it extremely overpriced it's extremely underwhelming. It has no flavor just this is just hot flavorless broth. For the price I was expecting more, especially since they went up on the price and gave no for warning. Please don't waste your time! The food is not good go somewhere else.

I really wanted to like this place 😓 it’s a beautiful and clean location in Sunrise, and I was excited to support a fellow Haitian business. I came across it on Google Maps and decided to give it a shot for the first time today ,
I ordered the Boulet (meatballs) with rice and beans, and added a side of macaroni. The total came out to almost $29 w/ tax. $21 for the main plate and $6 for the mac. For that price, I expected authentic, flavorful Haitian food. Unfortunately , it missed the mark. The meat, rice, and beans had no epis or real seasoning.. everything tasted very bland.
What really threw me off was the macaroni. It tasted like it was just heated up from the store… not homemade at all. No depth, no baked flavor, and definitely not what I’d expect from a Haitian kitchen.
It honestly saddens me to leave this kind of review, especially for one of our own, but I hope this feedback encourages the owners to reevaluate the food. The location has real potential! It just needs a serious upgrade in the kitchen. Wishing them the best and hoping for better in the future.
Food is decent, but too pricey. The service doesn’t match the price it took forever to get your food customer service is horrible
Very long wait.
Over prices, the food is not even all that they’re overcharging people
