$25 for soup joumou is absolutely insane! Not only was it extremely overpriced it's extremely underwhelming. It has no flavor just this is just hot flavorless broth. For the price I was expecting more, especially since they went up on the price and gave no for warning. Please don't waste your time! The food is not good go somewhere else.
I really wanted to like this place 😓 it’s a beautiful and clean location in Sunrise, and I was excited to support a fellow Haitian business. I came across it on Google Maps and decided to give it a shot for the first time today ,
I ordered the Boulet (meatballs) with rice and beans, and added a side of macaroni. The total came out to almost $29 w/ tax. $21 for the main plate and $6 for the mac. For that price, I expected authentic, flavorful Haitian food. Unfortunately , it missed the mark. The meat, rice, and beans had no epis or real seasoning.. everything tasted very bland.
What really threw me off was the macaroni. It tasted like it was just heated up from the store… not homemade at all. No depth, no baked flavor, and definitely not what I’d expect from a Haitian kitchen.
It honestly saddens me to leave this kind of review, especially for one of our own, but I hope this feedback encourages the owners to reevaluate the food. The location has real potential! It just needs a serious upgrade in the kitchen. Wishing them the best and hoping for better in the future.
Food is decent, but too pricey. The service doesn’t match the price it took forever to get your food customer service is horrible
Very long wait.
Over prices, the food is not even all that they’re overcharging people
I was craving boulette all week and I remembered this restaurant from a while ago when I had it so I called up and placed an order with diri kole. I wish I had taken a picture of the rice because I threw it away, this was the nastiest haitian rice I have ever tasted from a restaurant. It honestly had no taste at all, no seasoning, nothing. It tasted like water, no lie. The boulette was also a disappointment, no taste at all. I'm really shocked because the food from this restaurant used to be the great. Maybe they have a new cook, if so they need to be replaced asap. I paid $23 for this meal, a waste. I really hope they can get back to when they first opened, that's when the food was delicious. I'll definitely try one last time again..
Excellent customer service and food from Marie and coworker
The best Haitian food I have had in all of 5 years. The waitress was very nice and friendly. The food was better than I had expected. I will definitely be coming back
I ordered a large braised fish and it had ABSOLUTELY no seasoning. Tasted and looked bland.
The portions are just too small for the price. Since when did Haitians penny pinch on rice? This is Wild! I wish I could attach a picture of the portion.

I moved to Florida today and decided on this restaurant to try haitian food for lunch. The food was delicious but for me it felt a bit on the expensive side( one special for 27 dollar) However the place looks cute on the inside.

On our family vacation in Florida we’ve decided to order some Haitian food. I did a google search for restaurants near the Airbnb and decided to go for Take out with Choublak Restaurant. The whole experience, from placing the order to the pickup, was awesome. Great food, well presented and good customer service. We had to wait a little bit longer for the food to be ready but it was worth the extra time. My wife doesn’t like eating out but to my surprise, she loved all three dishes that we ordered. Choublak is definitely a keeper, I will do it again on my next trip to Fort-Lauderdale.

The atmosphere is great the services is good. The food is delicious, but the price is just not worth the proportion.
There is barely rise in the box, but there is plenty of bean sauce and plenty of whatever meat you choose to order.
I did say I won’t no plantains and no salad but that say if a wanted extra rice I had to pay for it.
