Called to make reservations for my wifes birthday, left a message, and Marcos called me back confirmed reservations. Recomndations were great. Food was to die for. Homemade dessert as well. Service was great, and we were not rushed out, which was great to have a capuchino talking to friends enjoying the Special night out.

I had the ricotta spinach ravioli and my husband had the halibut, and both were fantastic. The ricotta cheesecake was amazing! Spend your time here with a family owned business and do not waste it on the commercial ventures at the mall…..

Like most people, we had fallen for the glamour of the nearby Bal Harbour shop restaurants, but on our last night we went off the beaten trail and found a highly Google rated Italian restaurant called Specchio. Coming from the NJ/NY/ Philly Italian food scene, we were pleasantly surprised by the food, the hospitality and the candor of the owners. We would highly recommend anyone looking for a real dining experience to check out Specchio.

What a gem! Down the block from the St Regis. Food is fantastic. Service was great… thanks Marcos! Chef is the owner and a great guy. I started with soup of the day, carrot soup… The chef suggested adding cheese and a pepper infused oil at the table. Out of this world! Everything was delicious. At the end of our meal Marcos brought over a piece of ricotta cheesecake. Not your typical cheesecake. It was so light and fresh. We sat outside. Such a cute little area loaded with ambiance.We will make this out new go to stop in the area and eliminate the mayhem across the street at Bal Harbor restaurants.

Specchio’s is some of the best food I’ve ever had. We love getting the whole Bronzino. Everything is authentic and so fresh. The staff treats us like family. I can’t recommend this place enough. If your in the area you MUST check out. You will not be sorry.

Specchio Cafe in lovely Surfside, Fl, is a fabulous way to spend a relaxing evening . Not only is the food excellent, fresh and cooked to perfection, but the service is thoughtful and well timed. I had been away for some time and was fearful that the restaurant hadn't made it thru the pandemic. I was grateful to find it better than before. In the midst of flashy, over-the-top eateries nearby, Specchio holds its respectful place with good food, excellent service and superior ambiance.
We were in the area and just popped in. Staff were very welcoming. Nice menu. The salads were very nice. The pasta Ragu was delicious and very authentic. The portions were massive, and almost too much. it seems like being in the home of a very friendly and welcoming family. A lovey atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

We have been enjoying this Italian treasure for many years. The food is simply incredible and the Specchio team always makes us feel at home at their charming and cozy location on the main drag in Surfside. One tip - if you enjoy spicy, be sure to ask for the spicy olive oil for the fresh tomatoes, it is out of this world flavorful. Follow with a great pasta (or other) dish and enjoy with some wine. Heaven!

Delicious food, great service and fantastic ambience in a little, but comfortable spot in Surfside. You could be forgiven for believing that you had teleported to Italy because of how authentic the flavors were. And I couldn’t show the Ricotta cheesecake because we devoured it as soon as the very kind v and knowledgeable waiter moved his hand. Can’t wait to take more of no family there. Would recommend for a date night, family or just if you want a fantastic Italian dinner. Buonismo!

Wow. Just wow. Amazing. I lived in Italy for 2 years and this is like sitting on the Mediterranean again. We made some passing joke about risotto, so the guy whipped up one for my wife AND gave her a double portion. Everyone was so cordial and made it a very fun experience.
