Down here in Florida, especially South Florida, it’s sad how hard it is to find true authentic Puerto Rican food. These folks use the flag as a gimmick to attract customers—but the flavor isn’t there. I’m from Puerto Rico. I know what real Puerto Rican food tastes like. This ain’t it. If you want something even remotely close to the real thing, Casa Borinquen in Hollywood, FL is the only place that has ever come close. Even the Miami spots that claim authenticity can’t touch them. I was looking for authentic Latin/Puerto Rican food for an event and happened to find Dimelo Papi Pinchos on IG. I reached out to get some of the items I needed catered. I will say from start to finish it was GREAT SERVICE. We had arroz con gandules and both beef & chicken empandas catered. The food was ready on time and OMG it was a hit at the party. So tasteful and full of flavor. The guests all wanted seconds to take home to eat as leftovers.... and I am glad I ordered 2 pans. Will be using them again for any other family functions and parties. If I could give 10 starts I would!
