Located in a low key plaza in Tamarac, this is a hidden gem. We went I. A Monday night and there was a pretty good crowd. Ample parking is available. Staff are friendly and service is quick. Our server explained the menu options and demonstrated cooking and cleaning the grill. The restaurant is airy and bright. K-pop videos stream on monitors throughout the area. They also have a karaoke room and happy hour specials. Food was delicious overall, and our party really got into the grilling! Side note, we were there to celebrate a birthday and the staff graciously stored the cake we brought along g in the refrigerator while we ate. The owner sent over dumplings appetizers which were fantastic! Our birthday girl was also serenaded by staff - which was a nice surprise!

No galbi in this ayce place at the time of writing this (not even an upcharge) and needing to pay for lettuce is what brings down my ratings. Rice is free. Usually I see restaurants charging for rice instead. If you don't come with a large group, then being brought small dishes (3 at a time) in a 2 hour limit is not that bad. Ambiance and kpop are great.

TL;DR: The staff and management at Hallyu Korean BBQ & Bar completely fumbled our reservation and ensured our first visit was our last. My friend made a reservation to celebrate her birthday. Her arrangement with the staff member who took her information down was that we should arrive at 7:00pm to eat, and then we'd have access to the Karaoke room at 8:30pm. Our party started arriving at 7pm. The hostesses informed us that our reservation was at 8:30 for BOTH Karaoke and to eat. The Karaoke room has a table with a grill, so our party was booked there for both activities at once. We asked if it was possible for us to just sit and eat while we waited for the Karaoke room (as intended), and they said if they gave us a table to eat, they couldn't guarantee the Karaoke room. We figured it was our misunderstanding, so we sat at the bar and ordered drinks. At 8:20 the staff came to get us and they sat us at a regular table. They told us that when we finished eating, they would take us to the Karaoke room. I went up to one of the hostesses and asked what had happened with the reservation and agreement to do both food and Karaoke at 8:30. She told me I was wrong and that we'd eat first, Karaoke later. We sat down to eat and started placing our orders. One side of the table started getting their cuts of meat shortly after, while my side had to wait another 30 minutes for ours to arrive. When our waiter finally showed up with the cuts for our side of the table, she was very apologetic and said she had to fight for our food in the kitchen, because our food ticket had been thrown out. She also mentioned this is not uncommon during the weekends. The food was good, but since they restrict the cuts to three at a time and they take so long to bring out the next batch when requested, it doesn't feel like a flow of food you can enjoy without interruption. Around 9:40pm, a manager came to our table to let us know that another party had gone into the Karaoke room and they would be there until 11:00pm. We were confused because the hostesses had told us multiple times when we were done, we'd head to the Karaoke room. He asked how long we were planning on doing Karaoke and we said the length was established by them, which is a two hour slot for $50. Most of us drove almost 1 hour to get to this restaurant, which meant that we would do Karaoke from 11pm-1am, and wouldn't get home until after 2am. He tried to play it off saying "if eating takes two hours you guys will basically be here until 11" until we reminded him we were sat before 8:30pm, so by this time we were over an hour into our meal, and almost done. He tried to fix things by offering us a bottle, which we declined as most of us were driving and we had already drank when we were made to sit at the bar and wait. The manager came back to our table saying he would do his best to get us into the Karaoke room around 10:30pm, but that the party that was currently in the room had birthday decorations set up and so they also needed time to clean. We asked for the owner to come talk to us. It's now around 10:10, and the owner came with a dismissive attitude before we even started talking. He told us that it's not possible that we were slated to eat first and then do Karaoke, as the Karaoke room is not available for only Karaoke during the weekends, which makes sense. He walked away saying he was going to see what he could do. We were upset because it was obvious the staff mishandled the reservation and we were never supposed to be sat at this table. The owner came back and said that the room was reserved by another party, but that if they didn't arrive on time, it was ours. We were tired of the promises and said we didn't want the Karaoke room anymore. He rolled his eyes, sighed, and said "a minute ago you wanted the Karaoke room, and now I'm bringing you a solution and you don't want it?" When we expressed just how much time we had wasted waiting for our turn, he said the best he could do was 50% off the room f

FINALLY KOREAN FOOD IN GPWhen there’s a slight language barrier you know it’ll be good food.I don’t know if people are too used to fast food in this town but I know a new business with a new menu takes time. I arrived just before dinner so I can’t say for wait times since the rush only came when I left.I had the tteokbokki for appetizer and the Japchae deopbap and it was delicious. The staff were really nice so it seems like they’re reading the reviews here and improving customer service because I didn’t experience anything bad with the staff.I really hope more people support the growing diverse food choices in GPWheelchair accessibility: All on one floor from parking lot to restaurant no ramp needed

This place is amazing. It's got a club atmosphere and $35 of all you can eat food. They have a few little sides that are also never-ending including some kimchi, pickled vegetables, a coleslaw salad, white rice, and a few other little things that I forget. They bring out three choices of protein at a time and you cook it right on the middle of the table. There is chicken or pork or beef and three types of shrimp. If you have not tried any place like this, you should definitely give it a go. The bulgogi is marinated meat. It was by far the tastiest. That was everyone's favorite- beef spicy bulgogi. I've been to other Korean barbecue places, This one did not have as many appetizer choices and it does not have any dessert menu, but they did give us a cookie with some whipped cream and a candle for our birthday! It was very fun and a great experience especially when you have a group of people. They can fit up to six people at one table and seven or more goes to a larger table that has two burners. I wish I took pictures but we were just eating it all as it was coming.

This spot is amazing place to take your friends and family to have a good time. I have gotten to speak to the owner multiple times and he treats us like family. They are constantly trying to experiment and roll new things out. I can't wait to try their dry aged

This is just Hallyu like it when it comes to Korean bbq. This spot is a must try! Located in Tamarac, this amazing AYCE Korean bbq restaurant delivers high quality bbq for an excellent price! With two options, one for $35 or upgrade to premium for $55, both will make you happy dance for sure! We went with the premium, and it was so worth it. The Banchan and appetizers menu which was so good! That Korean baked corn cheese satisfied my cheese addiction for sure! Their traditional bulgogi was excellent and their premium Wagyu ribeye, brisket and pork belly were of great quality, I honestly can't wait to go back. I also recommend getting the soju the clean the pallet between each meat selection. The vibe is so much fun! Excellent service, great quality meat, and a fun ambiance, make this place perfect for any occasion !

As seen all over Yelp & social media, Hallyu is an AYCE KBBQ spot in Tamarac! After a lot of discussion in our cousin group chat, we finally ended up picking Hallyu for our catch up dinner. We had a group of 9 & knew we should make a reservation- luckily, Yelp has that available! This made the process of booking a large party so easy and when we arrived at dinner, they didn't have any problems adding a last minute 3 additional people to the table. We came on a weekday evening and it wasn't busy, which is great because my group of cousins can be a lot to handle. The ambiance of the place is nighttime vibes and is super clean. I would still consider this spot to be a little newer and the service was overall great, especially with handling us at our hangriest, but it was a bit slow considering there weren't too many other tables to wait on. I think they might still be getting their footing but this seems to be the only complaint (if you can even call it that) that I've heard about this spot. The prices here are a bit high but you definitely get what you pay for. The meats are premium and some of the highest quality I've seen for KBBQ in South FL. There were selections I haven't seen in other places including wagyu brisket & wagyu beef belly- yum. They also have good selection for drinks! I appreciate the servers handling such a big group and navigating most of the table doing All-you-can-eat and a few only drinking. I don't think they normally allow this but so grateful they accommodated to us the evening we came to visit- it made the experience five stars for me. This spot is pretty far from where I am so I'm excited to make the trek back for the next big occasion or celebration!

Had a wonderful and fun dinner at Hallyu tonight. From the cool vibe to the delicious food, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and especially the smokless grills, everything was great. The only small complaint I have is that the tabletop was sticky. I see others have had similar feedback. Not sure what product they are using to clean with, but it might be worth changing. It was a pleasure to meet Alan, the manager, and Ray the owner and to hear about their backgrounds. It is nice to see they care about their customers. We will be back.
