Way too salty, Chicken & Waffles were inedible. Wings were a bit less salty but still could use less and waffle fries also salty. Come on guys! Use your palate.

I only rated it a two star because of the food, the guy that took the order was really nice with great customer service. The problem was no answer from # that's listed chicken tenders smell like it's been left out too long and the chicken sandwich I asked for it medium w/cheese and I received it with no cheese and they made it extra hot it was too hot to eat everything was thrown out waist of money.

Delicious chicken sandwich with just the right spices! However, they should allow phone orders, as only online pickup is available. Also, the price for a chicken sandwich should be under $10.

I originally wasn't going to post a review of this on Google, as I've already submitted a complaint through the website, but I'm noticing they've already responded to someone else and haven't followed up with me yet so I think it's fair to do this now.

My girlfriend and I try something new in the area about once a month and Hangry Joe's was our selection this month.

We arrived around 6:55 PM to an almost empty store, only noticing a group of 2 waiting on a takeout order, and not an employee in sight. We finished our order around 6:58 and sat ourselves waiting for our chicken tender meal, and a sandwich meal with coleslaw on the side. About 25 minutes later we see an employee trying to talk to a gentleman waiting for a takeout order, and decide to ask him if he could check on our order. This employee did not speak any English, and for the sake of clarity shall be referred to as Employee #1 for the rest of this review. Luckily, my girlfriend is bilingual and was able to speak Spanish with Employee #1, and we eventually get something along the lines of "I don't know, we're working on it," before Employee #1 disappeared to the back again. Around 6:32 PM food is finally delivered to us. We received a fully loaded sando, and a sandwich with coleslaw on the side. I show the receipt to the Employee #1 that the order was supposed to just be chicken tenders, and we're still waiting for drinks. Employee #1 takes our receipt with him, brings us two cans of soda, and goes back into the kitchen with the incorrect sando. About 10 minutes later, another sando arrives from Employee #2 that appears to be very similar to the first incorrect order, and we had to stop them again to say the order was just supposed to be a chicken tender meal. At this point we asked for a manager. I'm not sure if Employee #2 understood, as he stared at us and the food before eventually taking it with him back into the kitchen.

We now wait about another 15 minutes before Employee #1 shows back up to us with chicken tenders, but this time smothered in cheese and some sort of sauce - not a regular chicken tender meal. At this point we were done trying and I realized I was not going to get my meal. It has taken us about an hour, and I still haven't gotten a simple meal of chicken tenders. We asked the employee if he could bring us back our receipt that was taken into the kitchen about 25 minutes ago. Employee #1's response when translated to English was "I don't know where it is. Most people just throw it away. Why do you need that, woman?" The first sandwhich was already eaten at this point so we had thrown our trash away, and left the incorrect meal on the table. Employee #1 does eventually return with a mystery grease and sauce covered receipt for us that was for our meal.

Over the course of the past hour, we have now seen the store struggle with a takeout order, a manager refuse to show up to a table, two employees that struggled to communicate with customers, and a group of 6-8 people walk in, and were no longer going to attempt waiting for an order of just chicken tenders.

The 754 number provided rings, and sends you to a voicemail box that is full. The 516 Number is similar. There's also a 800 customer support number that we tried to call that has a VERY lengthy intro from Hangry Joe himself before finally letting you speak to the voicemail.

My husband picked up dinner this evening.
The order was not correct. We had all breaded wings when 12 should have been baked. They were not well done as requested as well. The fried okra was not even provided to us. The kicker is no one answers the phone number on the receipt with is a (516) . They just forward you to voicemail. I’m missing some of my order and no one answers the phone.
Horrible service we will not return, I will dispute the charge with my bank.

I should have taken pics.

Four dirty rags were seen as I approached the counter. Two on the floor and two in other places on the back counters. One staff member didn't communicate well and looked as if he just left a construction site. No gear that had the restaurant logo. Just a grey B&W company shirt and black dickies/jeans.

I knew I was in for a bad experience because the staff present, didn't present themselves as problem solvers.

Our order was completely wrong and an item was missing. Don't call the number on the receipt...it will go directly to voicemail. It may be much easier disputing the charge in order to recieve a refund.

I'm confident this establishment won't last 8 months.

It's disappointing these franchisees or owners can't get it right.

People need to held accountable for this level of service. This should not exist in the community.

OK, the ads look amazing but the food not so much. The restaurant was empty when I went, which is the first sign that there might be a problem. The second issue was there was no ambience no atmosphere no TV no music nothing. I did not like the texture of the Halal chicken. The two positive comments that I have was that everything was prepared fresh and it was nice and hot, and the server was pleasant. The mild heat was too hot. My son ordered a wrap and only ate half. Unfortunately, this restaurant was not a good fit for me.

Hands down the best chicken sandwich I’ve tried. The chicken was crunchy but juicy, the hangry sauce was the perfect mix between sweet and salty and the level of spice was on point!! The fries also hit the spot. Their coleslaw was also perfect, 100% will be coming back.

On Friday August 9, I walked in at 8:45 PM, I placed an order for 4 people without realizing I was going to be the last customer she was going to take. Online it says they close at 10 PM but she was turning away customers, starting at 8:45. I witnessed her turning away 10 customers, including a police officer, saying they were closed. This is a huge loss of business because of lack of care, and pure laziness. She had also posted a hand written sign on the door (see attached) it says “CLOSED ALL FRIDAY SATURDAY AT 9 PM” I hope the owner of the restaurant can see this review and address this employee, as she is seriously hurting this business. This employee had really short blonde hair, and had clear glasses. I was at the Hangry Joes in Tamarac.

I recently visited Hangry Joe's Tamarac Hot Chicken & Wings, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I ordered the chicken and waffles, but I deeply regret coming here. Despite the restaurant being empty, I waited over 10 minutes for my food. When it finally arrived, the chicken was undercooked, and the waffles were of poor quality, tasting more like funnel cake. The portion size was very disappointing for nearly $14 - barely one waffle. They took a waffle and cut it up into 4th and gave me 3 pieces? Did they eat the last piece?

I specifically requested no heat on my chicken, but they added some kind of seasoned salt that had a metallic taste, which also affected the waffles. Was it MSG?

Overall, the quality and portion sizes do not justify the price, and the food was not enjoyable. I won't be returning and cannot recommend this place to others. I wasted my time and money, been wanting to come here and ty them out but why serve chicken and waffles that you popped in the microwave?
