So far it’s been great. We
I’ve been living in the Keys full-time, and let me tell you, the food here is absolutely incredible! The shishito peppers are a must-try, they’re so flavorful. And the cook your catch? Oh my gosh, it’s simply divine. The chorizo burgers and the captain’s chicken were also delicious. The churrasco and the seasoned rice were so good, they made my taste buds sing. And the chimichuri sauce? It was the perfect finishing touch. The service is always friendly and quick, which is great for a busy day. They also have a great wine selection and a movie bar, so you can relax and enjoy a film after a delicious meal. Overall, my experience in the Keys has been nothing short of amazing, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place The key lime pie is a great finish with Mile high merengue.

There are always places in the Keys, no matter how many times you go, that you didn't know about and this is one of those places. Everything was excellent and is call it a hidden gem. We had smoked fish and whole yellowtail, both well above par. Although we did not have any specialty drinks, they all looked great. Last, we really wanted key lime pie but were too stuffed. Don't overlook this place when coming to the Keys.

My husband and I live in Homestead, we travel one hour to eat their seafood dishes. They never miss! Our favorite is the Calamari appetizer, their captain chicken and their seafood pasta. Always finishing with key lime pie. They have nightly chef specials that are always great. Its a quaint restaurant on the side of US1 and definitely worth the drive.

We had the best dinner this evening. Even though the restaurant was so busy, the staff especially Jennifer were amazing . They were gracious, honest about the wait time and offered us a drink while we waited for a table. We have been here many times and will continue to patronize this wonderful restaurant
We’re regulars here these girls treat us like family, best service and food in town. Stop by or your be missing out.

I frequently visit Capt Craig’s and we honestly use it as one of our go to spots. Well tonight I attempted to call to place a to go order (called 5x) and no answer. I thought this was very unlike them- I figured I would just pass by since I live nearby . They were indeed open so I stopped in to place the order. The waitress who was at the bar was rude and seemed annoyed the second I walked in. After she finished waiting on her tables she approached me to take my order- after giving her my whole order she informed me it would take an HOUR for 2 chicken breasts. She went on and on how the clients in the restaurant were always served first. I was honestly disappointed because as a local we loved this spot but tonight really lowered my thoughts of this restaurant.

Just another Keys restaurant, no waterfront. Food was above average but overpriced even for the Keys. We both had yellowtail fillets (small ones) tasty but at $36 each! They were not priced on the menu. Key lime pie was outstanding with hand made toasted meringue. We would return but not without asking for prices or reasonably well priced or sized entrees.

We showed up just after 7 with a party of 8. Our intended dinner plans fell through due to traffic being extremely backed up and decided to find something closer to our hotel. So, not having a reservation with a large party we expected to wait. The wait was close to 45mins and only after waiting 45mins were we asked if outside seating would be fine. We agreed, happy to be able to sit and start our dinner. Our waitress was pleasant and took our drink and appetizer orders shortly after being seated, and then everything started falling apart. Waited 10mins and another server came out and asked for our drink orders, we let them know we had already given them to our waitress and he said ok great! Drinks arrived, and about 15mins later apps arrived. Another staff member came and cleared our apps after we had finished maybe 20mins later. We then sat there for another 10 mins before our original waitress came to take our entree orders. After taking our orders she comes back approximately 30mins later asking if we already got our appetizers?... we told her we had and continued to wait for the entrees we had ordered with her 30mins prior. Another 30mins passes with no check ins from any staff. One of our party members goes to check on the status of things and is told things should be out shortly. Approximately 10 minutes after that our waitress comes out and says that there is still a bit of time left for our orders and asks if that's ok... we say yes because by this time it is well past 8pm and 5 of our party are children, we need to get them fed and quickly at this point. Our food arrives over 30minutes later and staggered. First dish, 5 mins later 2 more, and so on. It's important to mention that 5 of the items ordered were cheeseburgers, one was a sandwich, another shrimp scampi, and the last fish tacos. So nothing extravagant. As well as seeing two tables seated after us in the outside area being served their meals before us.
Just before bringing out our entrees our waitress did tell us that they would be discounting our bill and giving us key lime pie on the house due to the excessive wait. Unfortunately the food overall was very disappointing. The children enjoyed their burgers mostly but the mashed potatoes were reminiscent of unseasoned powdered potatoes. The standout flavor for the fish tacos was the corn tortilla they were wrapped in, etc. Initially, we were appreciative of the acknowledgment of the excessive wait time however, the bill arrived and the discount was a whopping 14%. That was quite frustrating but at this point we just want to leave and be done with the experience. The kids were excited for the key lime pie though so we pay the bill and still left a tip and wait for the pie. They brought out a single slice of pie for a table of 8. This was such a horrible experience from start to finish. And was such a crummy way to end our vacation. We didn't even leave until 10pm due to how long service took and that was with taking the single slice of pie to go.
