The Mar Bar offers delicious food, including fantastic oysters, stone crab claws, and conch fritters. The stone crab has excellent flavor and is a highlight for many customers, often praised as the best they have had, especially at just $4 each. The restaurant is located right next to a kayaking store, providing a unique view of the canal where diners can watch nurse sharks and manatees. However, seating arrangements could be improved, as some tables lack umbrellas, making it uncomfortable during sunny days. Lemon is not provided for the oysters, but limes are an unusual yet enjoyable alternative. Owner Lola offers excellent service and knowledgeable recommendations, contributing to the great atmosphere right on the water.
