On our way to Bush Gardens from Orlando, we just happened to find Uncle Fats Tavern. We loved their Wednesday wing special in honey BBQ sauce, Philly cheese steak sandwich, fried clam strips, onion rings and three delicious large iced tea, for under $50.00. Everything was good and flavorful. We went back two days later with relatives, to try other items on their menu. For starters we had their delicious potato skins, fried pickles and jalapeño poppers combo. For dinner the seafood platter, Buffalo chicken sandwich, pastrami on rye sandwich and of course more chicken wings, again everything was delicious. The place is clean,the atmosphere is laid back and relaxed. Lyndsay our server was great and very friendly, a 10 out of 10 for her.Parking: Small plaza, but plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: Children friendly atmosphere during the daytime.Wheelchair accessibility: One level, no stairs.

Driven by a powerful desire for fried mushrooms, I found myself searching online for "fried mushrooms near me," prioritizing a local and laid-back spot. This search led me to discover Uncle Fat's Tavern, tucked away in a modest strip mall. Entering the tavern, I was immediately washed over with a sense of nostalgia. The atmosphere was dim yet animated, clearly a favorite among the locals. The bar was lined with "good ole boys and gals," and tables were filled with lively conversations. The bartender, perfectly loud in a way that added to the charm, effortlessly engaged with patrons while skillfully managing drinks. Our waitress, reminiscent of the sweet, hometown heroines from Hallmark romance movies, took our order for two unsweetened teas and a basket of fried mushrooms, enhancing the nostalgic experience. The tavern buzzed with genuine interactions, a refreshing scene where cellphones were nowhere in sight. Through the kitchen's expo window, the chef's joy and engagement were visible, adding to the welcoming ambiance.When the mushrooms arrived, they were a sight to behold: a generous basket of hand-battered delights. The mushrooms were flawlessly prepared - the breading was light, crisp, and perfectly seasoned without being greasy. Our craving was thoroughly satisfied, leaving us eager to become regulars at this charming local spot.
I just had a cheeseburger and tater tots. The cheeseburger was nicely done but the bun could have been grilled or smaller it was so huge that all I got was a mouthful of bun.The tater tots are AWESOME ?Service was top notch and the atmosphere was also!We'll go back and try something different.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Pool tables are affordable. Best variety of drinks. Awesome karaoke most days. The people that come in are always great.
The food was excellent as usual the wings came out perfect for us as I'm a wimp when it comes to hot sauce so I ask for half the mild lol. The Cuban was also great and the fries were good but what's up with the small crinkle fries lol. The service was not bad but very, very, very, slow for a time I felt was not busy yet. Just from the observation of the empty tables, booths, and overall area and what I also saw as a pretty well-staffed time frame in the place. I don't think many people enjoy ordering a pitcher and getting it in an unusual amount of time later. Anyway, Love the place and will be back and recommend the place for a quick drink or to watch many sporting events or for your birthday ?.Parking: There is usually a place to park even when busy.
