I have dined at the R Bar in Treasure Island several times over the years and had good experiences. Sorry to say today's visit was different. Blackened grouper sandwich was so under cooked I had to stop after a few bites. I would have asked the waitress to take it back but she had such an attitude I didn't want to go there. She saw my food was set to the side of the table after a short time receiving it and asked if I wanted a box which I said no. One would think something was wrong only taking a few bites but she didn't say a word and took it away. I left immediately to keep my cool and had my friend pay the bill.

Bartender was too busy with her bar friends to actually be nice to us. Food...meh. Cool little place with potential but lacking the friendly atmosphere that creates great places. Suggest they read the book Raving Fans. Do better. We go to Treasure Island regularly and won't make an effort to go back here.

Awesome dive bar with cheap yet potent and tasty drinks. Staff is friendly and a lot of fun. The entertainment can be a real hoot as well. Food's OK. Not a fan of their breakfasts -- but all the better to have a Bloody Mary instead.
Heard they had the best crab legs on the beach so had to put it to the test. I can confidently say I was not disappointed. Could barely stop to take a breath once I started. The atmosphere was very quaint, the service was 5 star, the food was mouthwatering, and the experience was definitely worth a repeat trip.
Kid-friendliness: Definitely a place you could be comfortable bringing the kids.
Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level doorway with parking right at the front.

I read good reviews about this place and it was right around the corner from our hotel for my birthday weekend. Great prices, good drinks, and great entertainment. Mike Calzone even serrenaded me for my birthday. Such a great atmosphere on a rainy evening, but we loved it, and we will definitely come back soon.
We visited the other day, they only had 4 people working the entire restaurant. Seemed like a better place back in the day. The one redhead girl seemed tipsy or under some kind of influence the whole time was way too loud. Our server just forgot about us mostly and never received one refill. Was happy to leave and will not be coming back. Not to mention the poor butter sauce for the crab legs tasted like it was spray on butter, alongside the salads that might as well been cut up with a kids pair of safety scissors.
