Shrimpys is a nice place for good times! The atmosphere 10/10, service 10/10, Act 3 band 10/10! The food not so much...ordered the shrimp and grits and shrimp pasta...while the shrimp was well cooked on both dishes the grits and the pasta both tasted as if they were pre-made, frozen and thawed. I don't like leaving negative reviews but its an honest one. Would I give it another try? Absolutely!
First time. Food is worth the price. Good portions. Grouper sandwich market price. Fantastic. Fish spread was fresh and delicious. French dip sandwich is a yes. The bread makes the sandwich, they rise to the occasion.👍
We went to Shrimpy's (mostly NOLA style food) for my wife's birthday dinner with our sons. It was our first time. Our table was on the deck right on the water. There is ample seating inside as well. We had grouper bites and hush puppies as starters and a bowl of gumbo which were all delicious. Each of us ordered something different as a main course but everyone thought their food was delicious. We shared a sundae and NOLA-style bread pudding which were also very good....
