I don’t have enough good things to say about this bar!! Ali, the bartender, is the best. I would come back to TI just for her. The best prices for drinks, best atmosphere and location. It’s like a hidden gem.

The location, service, atmosphere, prices, convenience, and proximity to the beach of this place are all tough to beat. The staff are all very accommodating, caring, and ripe for hilarious conversation. Brookelyn was the bartender on duty the times I visited, and even while juggling flaming chainsaws at peak hours, she still manages to make sure every single customer is having the exact experience they came here for. Never mind the fact that the drinks are among the best you'd hope to get in town. If anyone is in need of a piña colada, I can't recommend this place enough.

Was greeted by the bartender Ally right away! She informed me they have hand made slushies and full bar. She kept great convo with the entire bar top. Great experience.
Kid-friendliness: It’s on the beachside of Sunset Vista resort so kids can be at the pool or relax on the beach chairs while you’re at the bar top.

Been coming to sunset vistas for 12 years now, consecutively. There is always a smiling friendly bartender here making small talk, and so friendly and kind. I cannot say enough good things about the ladies who work here. And it's very much appreciated
Vegetarian options: These ladies are more then accommodating
Kid-friendliness: Ladies can make small virgin frozen drinks, if yu ask nicely!;)
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible from many areas

It's a real shame that an otherwise nice hotel (Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites) is let down massively by the Sunset cafe (just above reception). We visited the cafe and ordered a turkey sandwich ($11.99) and a chicken caesar salad ($10.99) there. When we paid the bill, the server (Tony) said that as they didn't use chip and PIN we needed to sign. It seemed reasonable, so we did. We moved on. When the transaction landed on my credit card a couple of days later it turned out that he'd put then through a total of $50.49..! They were nice sandwiches, but not that good. When we realised what had happened we took it up with the hotel. They said it is an independent outlet and would refer this to the owner. Of course, we've heard nothing further from either of them.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here but it was the beach, views, sunsets and walkable restaurants at John's Pass that made it rather than the suite itself. Booked as part of a package through Virgin this was our second stop after a week staying at a Sheraton in Orlando. We chose this property for some quality beach time and we had a sea/beach partial view which was lovely. The outside of this property (pool, gardens) looks well maintained - it's just such a shame the inside isn't so well looked after and/or cleaned. We stayed for 5 nights but due to our "short" stay there was no cleaning scheduled and only a towel change / garbage collection pencilled in for the penultimate day. Disappointingly this didn't happen but we were provided with new towels when we went and chased this up at reception. Our suite needed a really thorough deep clean - we know when you stay by the beach, things get a little sandy, you expect that, but everything was covered with a layer of dust/dirt (the skirting boards, doors, carpets etc) which having stayed in a spotless, regularly cleaned Sheraton was disappointing. There was a mishmash of kitchen utensils but the kitchen was modern and fully fitted and we did have a kettle. To finish on a positive, the huge box of pool/ beach stuff you could borrow (including chairs and parasols) where previous visitors just left what they couldn't take home was an excellent idea. The kids particularly enjoyed rooting through for different buckets and spades to use. On the whole a happy and enjoyable stay but given the choice of other hotels along the same road, not sure we would return for a second visit.
I booked 2 x 2 bed suites via Virgin Holidays between 13-20th August 2023. I had read the reviews both negative and positive and thought surely to get 4.5 it can’t be that poor, well how wrong wax I! How this gets this rating is beyond me, rooms where barely clean, door handles / security where loose and wouldn’t take a long to force if wanted, mix match of cutlery, glass ware and crockery, no kettle, no pan (there was a brush) towel and bedding change was a plastic bag left at the door. Pool area was good but lacked sufficient shade, pool was closed for 2 days out of 7 for repair (allegedly) and refilled with your family hosepipe that unsurprisingly took over a day to refill, no apology from staff and as the pool guy would say “wrap it up guys” it’s closed! On a plus the location is great, the gulf beach and sea to die for all of which the resort has no control on. If your visiting just remember this should be viewed as a base with no luxuries, if you do visit visit the shake shop which is delightful and you understand why there are big queues.
