Location is great, directly across the street from beach access. Marina side needs some landscaping and pool side is the parking lot. Rooms were clean but very dated and worn. Website still mentions breakfast and coffee but neither are available.

Arrived at Treasure Bay Resort and Marina at approximately 5:30 pm to learn our reservation which had been booked 7 months prior had been cancelled that day. An email was sent while we were driving on the day of our arrival which we didn’t see while on the road. Since our initial booking, our credit card had been compromised and had been replaced. Rather than wait until we checked in, they cancelled our reservation and instead of honouring the rate we had booked seven months earlier, even though a room was still available, they charged us a significantly higher room rate. They said they were not able to reach us by phone, however supplying a phone number was a mandatory field on the online application. My phone was on, there was no call o voicemail received from them. We also had two drink coupons that had been issued with our initial booking which we were told would no longer be honoured. Our reservation was also to include a daily breakfast buffet, which is no longer included. We were extremely unhappy with our Treasure Bay Resort experience.

We stayed here a year ago and it was a fabulous experience so we booked again. When we arrived on March 18th we were told they no longer served breakfast, the Tiki Bar was closed, the hot tub was green and smelled horrible. Our toilet in our room was broken and once we got it fixed it ran a good portion of the time we were there. The place is quiet and the young lady who took care of the pool towels was always making sure the towels were stocked which I appreciated. Beds were decently comfortable. A man came to fix the hot tub and drained it twice and took care of how disgusting it was, but then it totally ruined my bathing suit, I'm assuming from all the chemicals they had to pump through it. Do not book this place if you plan on enjoying the Tiki Bar or free breakfast because even though it's advertised on their website neither is available.

Awesome Staff! Deborah, Jules and Kathleen were always courteous and helpful! Pool and hot tub were great. Rooms need updating, but apparently that issue is being addressed. Looking forward to visiting again next year.

Location is great, but everything else was below average. Rooms were old and outdated, hallways and stairwells were dirty, carpet squares coming up, holes in carpet. Room was clean but toilet was often running, so I had to fix that every day. Cancelled breakfast after our first day without notice. Staff was average at best. I would only recommend this hotel because of the location, not for anything else, and the cost was too high for what we got. Room HVAC unit was loud and blew cold air that made it very uncomfortable to sleep.

Very dirty my room smelled of cat pee. It’s a shame because it could be a nice place if they updated it. The carpet must be 20 years old and had stains and a very bad odor. It’s a great location just not a great place. This is no resort

I cancelled a reservation made by Expedia 30 days before I was to arrive and I paid $171.09 and I NEVER received a refund! This Property is as much to blame as Expedia!

It was nice, directly across from the beach. It was clean enough, did have made service. We overall liked it, breakfast was fair. Pool bar was not open , but for the price we were very happy there. I didn't give it 5 stars, because it's not a 5 star hotel, but all in all it's a great place to stay for adults. Rooms are big, private balconies or patios, nice, good, staff, great location.

Excellent location on Treasure Island. Room was a very good size with more drawers and closet space than I could use. We very much enjoyed our balcony overlooking the bay (where we spotted a manatee!) Easy walk across the street to a great beach. Walking distance to stores (Publix, Walgreens, etc.), gas stations, restaurants and shops. Nice hot breakfast, free parking. Pool and hot tub looked great, but we did not get in - too busy! Good location for travel into Clearwater, Crystal River, Homosassa Springs, etc. This is not a 5-star hotel, so it's not Bellagio, but it is also not priced like Bellagio! Would stay again! PS The "Breakfast Lady" was great! Treated everyone as if they were a guest in her own home!

Our stay was good. All of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. One person in particular always made our day, Jules was so great, she was super friendly and outgoing and always had great advice on local restaurants and attractions. I would come back just for her super bubbly personality. The hotel is older but we understand that it will be refreshed over the next while. Great location and just across the street from the beach. Will definitely be back.

The toilet never worked properly. Despite repeated attempts by maintenance staff every. time they left the room the tank would drain. I would have to manually touch the floater to fill the tank so the toilet could be flushed. I did this multiple times per day. We left a week early. My wife has mobility issues. We never could figure out the housekeeping routine.

We love the view from the rooms balcony. We've seen dolphins and manatees. Fishing in the canal from shore is fun too. The rooms are big and beds are comfy. The pool is clean and towels are provided. Breakfast is typical. The reason for the two stars is that the carpet is absolutely filthy. In the rooms, hall, lounge, all the carpet is filthy. Don't go barefoot or just wear socks. Bathrooms are ancient and the water pressure is also very low. The room price is high. If the carpets were replaced and the bathrooms updated Treasure Bay would be a 5.

For being a resort, it lacks quality. The room we had looked like it was falling apart. The floors were pieced together, furniture has seen better days, and the bathroom was stuck in the 80s at best. Free continental breakfast was delicious according to my husband. The best thing was that it was a walk in front of beach access and it was within walking distance to various restaurants and shops. I wouldn't recommend if you expect comfort and quality, but if you're just needing a place to rest your head then go for it.

Nice clean rooms, friendly staff, reasonable rates (especially considering the location). This place is definitely on my short list for my next visit to St Pete.

I first went to this hotel over 25 years ago when it was a Howard Johnson, and immaculate. Returning to it recently, it looked the same but tired and hardly maintained. My son and his family had rooms next to that of my husband & I, overlooking the parking lot, roadside. Although clean, our room was dated and this was very disappointing, especially for the price paid. I went to take a shower and the button on the tap would not stay up, so the water kept coming out into the bath, not to the showerhead. On closer inspection of the showerhead, it was crusted, and I consider that it had not worked in an exceedingly long time. Having wet legs, I got out of the tub and went to get a towel from the towel rail, the whole thing fell off the wall, towels, and all. As you can imagine, by this time I was extremely cross and went into the bedroom to call down to reception only to find that the phone did not work either!! Aaaargh!! So, I went downstairs to Reception to complain and to ask for someone to come and fix things. The receptionist apologised but said the maintenance man had phoned in sick so there was no one to do any repairs. She offered to upgrade us to another room, which turned out to be the one opposite our existing room – the upgrade only being that it had a view of the canal. The shabby décor was much the same but at least the shower worked, and the towel rail did not fall down – but the toilet would not fill and/or flush. So, we kept having to fill the cistern from the sink tap and then flushing it. The only redeeming feature was that the beds were clean and comfortable. In my opinion, this hotel is badly maintained to the point of dangerous and I cannot recommend it at all.
