First of all, they were out of guacamole and salsa during the lunch hour on a Saturday. The dishes that I was interested in included their guacamole so I wasn’t able to order them. Secondly, the food tasted heavily of chili powder. There really wasn’t any flavor transition from the main course to the refried beans which was a side dish. I ordered the Texan Chimichanga Burrito for $14.99 which was supposed to have steak in it. The meat was more like minced meat and there was less than 4 ounces. Thirdly, the side dishes were meager in portion. My brother ordered the Cowboy Burrito which featured their Texas brisket. Much like my meal ever tasted like chili powder. The brisket wasn’t smoked; if it was, it was done poorly and the chili powder masked the flavor of the brisket. Although the burrito and chimichanga look big, they’re fill with a lot of air. As for the side dishes, the portions should be described as samples. The dollop of sour cream that was served with my dish was less than a tablespoon. This food is probably best enjoyed after a heavy night is drinking! One quick shout out to the waitresses- they were all polite and attentive!

We’ve typically had very good food and service from all of the waiters here. Everyone is very friendly. We come here very often. One busy night the owner was on the floor and around the waiters. We noticed that he verbally brought up any waiter mistakes very rudely in front of customers multiple times. In front of us. We seen that as very unprofessional. What does the owner say behind closed doors or how does he treat employees if he treats them rudely in front of customers??? Very unprofessional for someone running a business that is supposed to be big on customer service and professionalism.Like I said otherwise we’ve had really really good service and enjoy the food at Elle Cocina.

Best chips and salsa I’ve had at any Mexican restaurant! It’s Tex-mex so it has that fun western flare. I love their taco salad with cowboy sauce ? If I have company in town I like to bring them here and everyone always enjoys whatever they order. Servers are friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

First time visit and will definitely return. The menu was great with a big selection of meals. Our waitress, Rylee, was excellent and when we told her it was our first time there offered us samples of all the meats and the different flavors of rice. She was very attentive too.

This restaurant is currently closed and looks like they’re remodeling!!
I will have to say up front that I did not go on thier Facebook page today to see if they were open prior to arriving, they usually are. Having said that, my wife and I went there today, January 31, 2024. As I walked up a worker approached and stated they were closed for renovation for three weeks. He was very plesent.I was then approached by the owner who I knew from previous meetings and the first words out of his mouth were "what do you want?". I said we were looking to get lunch. He, with a disgruntled and disdained voice stated he posted on Facebook they were closed for three weeks. He was not nice and needed to launch his fustration towards us.We travel from Alachua and I am now sour upon returning to either of his businesses Elle Cocina and (Green Barn). You ask employees to be professional, how about you sir. When we arrived home, we looked at your Facebook page. If you look at your hours it clearly state's your open. One would have to scroll through your page to see that your renovating.Goggle says your open.Response to you.You were rude and obviously upset about something. Maybe remodeling not going as planned.

The service and atmosphere were both great. Sweat tea was definitely flowing. The strange thing though, the salsa is the most mild thing we had to eat. It has a sweet taste to it to go along with the great chips. I had the three amigos enchiladas. I like the brisket the best. My wife had the cowboy tacos. They were good but had a kick to them. I enjoyed all the food. It's definitely worth the stop.
